I can't believe it has been almost 2 months since I posted a prayer request list here. I feel so bad but I know that the Lord has a purpose for everything and that there is a reason that He has had me wait until now. I pray that you will lift up each name listed here today. I know that there are probably many other requests that I have missed and you know of any, please feel free to send me an email or leave a name in the comment section.

** Please pray for baby Scarlett. She is 6 months old now and is still battling a brain tumor, more surgery and undergoing chemotherapy. I just can't even imagine having to endure this with any child, but certainly not an infant. Please remember Scarlett and her parents.

** Pray for little Kate McRae. She just finished 2 rounds of radiation and they had an MRI done. The original site of the tumor was stable and that was VERY good news. There was little change in the new tumors, but all in all, I think they felt good about the results. Please pray for them as they prepare to embark on the next phase of this experimental journey of treatment for her brain tumor relapse.

** Please pray for Lucy. She is 5 and is also battling brain cancer. This disease is terrible and so many children are suffering from it. Please pray for her family as they are on this awful journey as well.

** Lift up little Skyler and his mom in prayer. Skyler is 4 and is having a terrible time with his treatment for leukemia. He has had every possible side effect or complication. He is currently back in the hospital with a bacterial infection and a viral infection possibly in his lungs. He is a very sick little boy and needs our prayers desperately!

** You may remember Chelsea - she is the young girl who was hit by a car last February. She is now 19 years old and still recovering slowly. She is walking some with the aid of a walker. She is still having trouble with her eyes, but they have done surgery and we are praying for complete healing. I saw her at the ball park the other day and she was getting along pretty good on her walker. She is a miracle! Please continue to pray as she is still in rehab.

** About 2 years ago, a friend of my girls, Amber, lost her 3 1/2 month old baby girl to SIDS. She and her husband just had another baby girl, little "B", and she is still in the hospital with a serious infection. She has been in NICU since her birth on April 11th and will be in there at least 10 more days. Please lift them up. Amber is having a hard time dealing with this and is having a lot of anxiety worrying about losing another child.

Lord, I know that I haven't listed them all here, but you know them and you know their need. I humbly ask that you reach down and place your healing hand upon each one. Minister to their bodies and their spirits. Minister to their hearts and their souls. Strengthen their loved ones that are walking beside them in their journey. Show yourself mighty and do a miraculous work in each life. Lord, YOU are sovereign and YOU are the ultimate Healer. We give you glory and honor for what you are doing and for what you are going to do in each situation. Thank you for being our God and our Savior.

a simple blessing

Michael W. Smith is about to release his 12th book in a few days. "A Simple Blessing; The Extraordinary Power of an Ordinary Prayer" was penned due to the responses he got after he began closing his concerts with a prayer of blessing over his audience. Letters and emails he received reflected the encouragement and hope that this blessing brought to many people.

In his book, Michael gives us an outline of six specific blessings. Blessings which I feel pertain to all of us at some time or another in our lives. Blessings that we can receive hope from. And encouragement. And the desire to look beyond ourselves and bless others.

Too many times we view blessings as only through material gain. In fact, blessings go much deeper than that and in this book we begin to see the scope of it. We see the need for a spiritual blessing in our homes, marriages, families and even in our minds. We all need God's blessings.

In chaper 6, The Prayer for Spiritual Victory, he begins with this blessing:

May God give you the spiritual strength to overcome the evil one and avoid temptation. May God's grace be upon you to fulfill your dreams and visions. May goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your long life.

Michael then goes on to describe the his feelings as he viewed the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti. Destruction and despair overwhelmed him. A feeling of hopelessness washed over him. Problems too big for any one person to solve. Spiritual defeat abounded there. And not just in Haiti, but everywhere.

But in the midst of these seemingly hopeless times, there is prayer. And blessing. The power of some simple words to shower encouragement upon others. And to give those that feel unloved love. And to fill those that feel hopeless with hope.

This is an amazing book that I think anyone would not only enjoy reading, but that they would come away with a new outlook on the power of prayer and blessings. It will cause the reader to examine their hearts and in turn draw them closer to God's heart and closer to becoming who He desires for us to be through Him.

* My father-in-law got the results of his biopsy back from MD Anderson and he has NO cancer in the bile duct or in the pancreas. Praise you Jesus for what you did in his life! You are the healer and we give you all praise and all glory!

* Stacey came through her surgery just fine and is in the process of continuing to recover. Please keep her in your prayers!

* Dusty, the father of the 4 month old baby that died of meningits in our little town, got saved. Hallelujah and Praise the Lord!!!

* Little Kate McRae needs our prayers. She is 7 years old and has been battling a brain tumor for 18 months. The treatments did not get rid of the tumor and in fact she has new lesions now. Without a touch from the Master, she has a poor prognosis. But we know that God can and does heal and we need to cry out on her behalf! Please keep her family in your prayers. * Jimmie Herring, Sr - My father-in-law needs your prayers. He has just been diagnosed with a malignancy in his bile duct that is also spread into his pancreas. He is at MD Anderson now undergoing tests to determine treatment. Please lift him up to our God!

* Megan and Dusty Raymond - this precious young couple in our town just lost their 4-month old son, Kannon, to meningitis last week. Please pray for God to minister to their spirits and hearts. They have a 16-month old son to take care of, but they are still hurting so bad and still reeling from the shock of his death.

* Karen & Chad - Karen is expecting little Grace in March. They found out a few months ago that the baby has an encephalocele which is a deformity in the brain which will most likely result in that baby's death at birth. Please pray for them. October Prayer Requests

I haven't been a very good prayer blogger lately. I apologize for that, but I think I need to try something new as far as getting the prayer requests on here. I really want to leave the names up all month. I hate posting a new request and then feeling like the ones below it get overlooked, but at the same time, I don't want to have to retype the same thing over again for y'all to read all over again. So I am going to put the requests up and then if I get new ones that month, I will just add the names to the same post. So when you get notice of an update, you will know it is a new request.

UPDATED: 10/8

1. Jimmy H. had his surgery this morning. The doctor was able to move it up and I am praying that is was a huge success and that Jimmy is feeling some relief from the kidney cysts. Please continue to lift him up in prayer.

2. Lori - 45 year old diagnosed with cancer last year and only given 4-6 months to live. She has been living with this cancer for a year now. She recently started radiation for the cancer that had spread to her bones and was told just this week that the cancer had spread all over and multiplying quickly. Lori has 3 children and they lost their dad only 2 years ago to cancer as well. Please lift up this entire family during this devastating time. It is a nightmare and I know the only way they will get through this is through the power of our loving God.

3. remember Chelsea?? I saw her this week and she is in rehab 5 days a week and then her mom can bring her home over the weekend. She was in a wheelchair - still working on walking. Her speech is improving and her memory is doing a tiny bit better. She is a true miracle after being hit by a car going at least 55 mph. Please continue to lift Chelsea up in prayer that she WILL walk again!

1. Jimmy H. (Beth E's brother) - will be having surgery to drain the cysts in his kidney on 10/12. He will also be having a nuclear medicine study on 10/19. Please be in prayer for Jimmy as far as his kidney healing and that he will put on some of the weigh that he has lost. Also please pray that God will speak to him and that Jimmy will listen, hear and respond.

2. Elaine - she began her chemotherapy treatment and we just need to lift her up to the throne of Grace! Pray that the chemo will target the bad cells and that the healing process is in the works! Pray that she will suffer minimal side effects and that God will just hold her close and bestow peace unfathomable upon her.

3. Stacey - pray for healing of her physical ailments. Cleansing of her mind. Renewal of her spirit.

5. Robert - Stacey's friend with end stage cancer. He needs JESUS! Please pray that his heart will be receptive and that he will experience an awakening of the love of Christ.

8. Bennett - premature baby that is now over 3 pounds. Praise God! He is doing great and just growing and healing!

9. Larry - pastor at the church we were at in New Mexico. He is having shoulder surgery 10/7. Please pray that the surgery will be successful and that he will be restored back to health!

10. Jack - husband of Teresa at http://teresa-grammygirlfriend.blogspot.com/. He had a stroke about 3 days ago and almost died. He was alone when it happened in a hotel and the maid found him. He is doing so much better at this point. Please pray for him that God will continue to raise him up and do a mighty work in his life.

10. Melissa - please continue to pray for her as she is mourning her father's death. That isn't something that you just get over - I know. It is hard and I just ask that you pray God's ministering spirit upon her.

Prayer Needs:

1. Elaine - continue to lift her up as she undergoes chemo. Pray for the Lord to strengthen her body and her spirit. Pray for the healing Hand of God to continue working in her body for a complete and total erradication of any disease! Praise you Jesus for what you have done and are going to do in Elaine's life!!

2. Barbara - she will be having surgery Monday. Please lift up the doctors as they operate and pray that Barbara have no ill effects from the anesthesia and that the surgery will be successful. Pray that God will reach down and touch her even now. Thank you Lord for Barbara!

3. Sandra - conitnue to pray for my friend Sandra as she awaits more test results. The initial spinal tap results showed NO malignancies. Praise you Lord! But they are still testing the fluid for other things and she won't have the results until possibly Monday or later. Pray that she will continue to get stronger and that she will be in less pain than she has been. Thank you Lord for answered prayer thus far!

Praises for Kristie and baby Ike. Kristie gave birth to little Ike yesterday evening and he is doing great! Praise God that He watched over her and the baby and brought him safely into this world!

Praise God that Elaine's surgery went well last week and she is home and doing great! I know that she has treatment ahead of her and that she may be facing some hard days, but we know that God is with her and He will not leave her in her weakness. He will be there right beside her to lift her up and strengthen her and reveal Himself to her in a new and mighty way! Yes, Lord! Thank you for Elaine.

Please pray for my friend Sandra. She experience some frightening symptoms last week and after a trip to the ER and and MRI and MRA tuesday, found out she had a stroke (which we suspected) and that there is a suspicious mass on her spinal cord. The doctor says the stroke occured IN her spinal cord. She will be having more tests on Monday to determine what the mass is and if that was the cause of her stroke. Out of our 11 deacon families there are only 2 now that have been untouched by some devastating illness in the past year. Please lift up our church body!

Praise God that we can come to Him in petition for others. I praise Him that we can lift our brothers and sisters up to Him in prayer and that He hears us and answers us.

Pray God's healing upon Elaine

I am petitioning for prayer today for my precious friend Elaine. You can go to her blog at http://www.peaceforthejourney.com/ and leave her love and prayers!

Elaine is an awesome woman of God and a woman of Faith. She loves the Lord with all of her heart and lives a life consistent with her talk.

She just found out yesterday that a diagnosis she was waiting for was NOT what she wanted. But nevertheless, it was a diagnosis that God knew all about and that He allowed. Elaine was diagnosed with breast cancer. But all of us who profess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior know that the worlds diagnosis is not God's. God is the ultimate Healer. He is the one who has the last say in our lives and we know that He can and does heal. We know that He can do anything that He chooses.

I am lifting Elaine up to the mighty Throne of Grace and asking God to have mercy upon her. I am asking Him to do a mighty work in her life so that when all is said and done, He gets all the glory that is so due Him. I am believing God for His Word and I am claiming many scriptures over Elaine.

Also please be in prayer for a precious little boy named Micah who is 1 year old. His parents were missionaries overseas when they found out little Micah had cancer. They flew back to the states for further testing and found out today that he has ganglioneuroblastoma. Part of the tumor they removed was ganglioneuroma (benign) and part was neuroblastoma (cancerous). They will be doing further testing this next week to determine the stage and to make sure that it hasn't spread. Please lift up this precious family as they begin a journey of the unknown with their little boy.

Friday afternoon, a young woman that is a friend of ours and a teacher,left school after their first day back. She had gone by her parents house, who live right next door (if you can have next door in the country). She had been to the doctor a few weeks ago and had been put on some medication to treat a potential heart problem. She wasn't feeling well and since her husband and oldest son (12) had gone to Arkansas to make a purchase, she left her youngest son (3) at her moms and went home to lie down. Less than an hour later, she called her parents and said she was having trouble breathing.

By the time the called 911 and got to her house, she was unresponsive. Her dad performed CPR while they waited, but when the ambulance arrived, they pronounce her dead.

Daphne had just turned 40 years old 13 days before. Her 17th wedding anniversary was yesterday. In a blink of an eye, she was gone to be with Jesus.

As we stood in the funeral home tonight, I saw her dad in anguish over losing his daughter. But I also heard him say that just because he didn't understand why God took her home, it didn't change his trust and faith in Christ. Her husband is still so devastated, that he couldn't even come to the funeral home.

Please pray for the Jones and Cochran families as they lay Daphne to rest tomorrow. She was a precious woman who loved the Lord and who always had a smile and who was the life of any gathering of people. She will be missed.

Please be in prayer for Kristie and her unborn baby, Ike. Kristie is 34 weeks pregnant and has been admitted into the hospital with contractions that could be signifying pre-term labor. She has already dilated 2 cm and they are giving her steriods for the baby's lungs just in case she delivers early. They have also given her medication to stop the labor. Please pray that if the Lord decides it is time for baby Ike to enter the world that his lungs will be developed and mature and he will be born healthy.

Please be in prayer for Beth E's brother, Jimmy. Beth will be with him for several days so please lift her up as well that the Lord will give her the strength and stamina she needs as she ministers to him in the hospital. Jimmy is still very weak on his left side, but the CAT scan showed no stroke activity, so that is GOOD news. Please pray that the Lord will just continue to work healing in his body and that Jimmy will retain full use of his body and his mind.

Please remember Robert. He is a neighbor of Stacey's and is in declining health with cancer. Please pray for his comfort and peace. Pray that he will come to know Jesus to the fullest in the next few days. Pray that he will realize that God is mighty and powerful and has the authority to heal and to save.

Please pray for Stacey and her mom, Marie as they endure many health issues. Pray that they will be free from pain and that God will just work a mighty healing in both of their bodies! Pray that God will cover them with His wings and enable them to be the best they can be for His kingdom and His glory.

Please continue to pray for Chris as he is recovering from a bad accident. He is a miracle and I just praise God that he has given Chris a second chance. A second chance to realize he needs Christ in his life to be his Savior. Please pray that as Chris continues to heal, that God will draw him close and that Chris will desire to seek Him like never before.

Please be in prayer for Beth E.'s brother, Jimmy. He had been admitted to the hospital with extremely high blood pressure and now has been determined that he has suffered an aneurysm. It leaked causing bleeding on his brain and he will be in ICU for at least 10 days or so. He is at the most critical time of his recovery now and for the next 3-9 days. Please pray that there are no complications or setbacks and that God will restore Jimmy back to full health. Pray that once he is renewed with health in the Lord, that he will be drawn to Christ in a new and mighty way and that he will develop a relationship with the Lord like never before!

Sometimes, fear gets the best of us. Sometimes amidst the circumstances of our lives, we get caught up in what's happening and forget to get caught up in 'who's in charge'. We are all guilty of this. We all let things overwhelm us. We all at sometime or another, have let fear dictate and in turn let fear rule our minds.

I love how Paul assures us here in the holy scriptures, that God did NOT give us a spirit of fear. That God gave us a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. God has given us the ability, through His precious Son, to tap into nothing less than peace.

That doesn't mean that we won't have trials and tribulations. It doesn't mean that we won't go through hard times. It doesn't mean that we will experience perfect health, perfect finances and perfect families all the time. But it does mean that we have a loving heavenly Father, who will take that burden out of our hands and carry it for us. He will lavish us with His perfect peace. His perfect love.

1. Please add JED and Diane to your prayers. Jed had been in remission from cancer, had a recurrence and after several good scans, had a new lung scan come back with a cancerous mass evident. From what I understand from Stacey, there is to be no chemo and no radiation at this point. Jed needs a miracle from God and we all know that God is in the miracle business! Yes, He is! He is the Healer and He is in control. We just have to voice our prayers to Him and then let Him do that which is His perfect will. Please cover Jed and Diane with prayers for peace, comfort, love and rest.

2. Last night around 11 PM our phone rang and guess who was on the other end of the line.WILL was. He sounded so good! His voice is a little weak and a little unsteady, but oh my goodness is God so good or what? Will is doing so good. He has surgery tomorrow on his wrist and then possible Friday, will move to a rehab center to begin working on his walking. His pelvic bones were broken in the fall and I assume have now healed, but he has to learn how to use his muscles again. Please be in prayer for Will. He turned 30 yesterday and as he talked with my husband last night, realizes that God has given him a second chance ( or 3rd, or 4th...) to get his life back in line with Christ. Please lift him up to our Lord.

In the book of Acts, the disciples had undergone persecution and had been jailed. That night in prison, an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out and sent them to the temple. Later, they were beaten for their loyalty to God and warned not to speak about Jesus. The disciples rejoiced in the fact that they were found worthy to suffer shame for Christ. They rose above it all and agreed to bind together in love. And they agreed to serve God with all their hearts.

May we always be like the disciples of Christ and serve Him continually and remain in an attitude of prayer and ministry. He is so worthy. God hears our cries. He listens. He responds. He cares.

Will is doing so amazing! He is off the lung machine and his lungs are getting stronger and his oxygen levels are in the high 90's. He is being weaned off the sedation as well and is awake for short periods of time. The doctors are now in the process of discussing the surgery for his pelvic bones and his arm and his eye. He is really doing so well - a real miracle in the making!

His brother sent me a few pictures so you could all see who you are praying for.

Will - 6-16-10 (with a nurse)

Please keep Will in your prayers as he still has a rough recovery ahead of him as well as several surgeries along the way. God has really had His hand upon him and Will is blessed to be alive and doubly blessed to be where he is at in his recovery.

Please remember Robert - a neighbor of Stacey's that has cancer that is spreading and needs God's healing hand upon him in a mighty way.

Please also remember Stacey's mom, Marie. She has been suffering lately with the disease that she has and it can be very painful at times. Please lift her up!

Chelsea continues to get better. She is still in rehab and learning to walk again. Still struggles with her memory, but has come so far from where she was! Praise God that she is alive and getting better!

Melissa and her team are building a church in La Paz. They will be there for about 4 more day. Please lift them all up and continue to ask for God's protection upon them all.

Aissa, Will, Jericho....

Do you remember this precious little girl? (the one my precious daughter is holding!) Her name is Aissa and I wrote about her here. Melissa had the privilege of spending time with Aissa while she was in Cameroon, Africa and just came to love her so much. Melissa working closely with Sarah Root, who is a PA and she accompanied Aissa to the Mercy Ship for the surgery.

If you remember, Aissa had a very bad infection that almost took her life and left her with a gaping hole in the side of her face. I am so happy to tell you that the surgery she had on the MERCY SHIP has been completed and she is doing so good! She still has one more reconstructive surgery to go, but praise God she is on her way to full recovery! I am going to give you the link to the Mercy Ship blog that has a story on Aissa. Please take the time to go and read it and look at the pictures. There is one on the slideshow that shows how horrific her wound was - very graphic, but it will just astound you and make you even more appreciative of our God and His mighty Power and love. I also look at the picture of Melissa and realize that at the time of this photo, she had Malaria and we just didn't know it. Thank you Lord for keeping your Hand of protection on her even then. I love you and will praise you forever!

Update on Will - His dad called this morning and said that they have been slowing weaning Will off of the lung machine and he is doing great! Oh, Praise God! He said that his oxygen levels have been in the high 90's (they were in the low 60's) and that the one lung that hasn't been functioning is beginning to. He is being sedated less and less and is showing signs of waking up. The doctors are amazed. God is glorified. Continue to pray for Will. As soon as he is awake, we are Shreveport bound to get a big hug from that guy!

He still has some healing to do - surgery on his pelvic fractures and on his arm. Possibly on his left eye. So just be in prayer that all will go according to God's plan.

Praise God that baby Jericho is home! He was up to 4 pounds and doing so well and he is home with his family where he belongs. Thank you Lord for taking care of that precious baby.

Hello my friends. I have an update on Will and I think that we will all shout Hallelujah after it is read!

Will's father called this morning and said that he rested very well last night. He said the doctors aren't telling them that he is out of the woods yet, but they are more optimistic as to his prognosis. They said his brain and spleen have shown no signs of bleeding so far and most likely they will NOT bleed since he has done so well to this point. Praise God for that healing in his body!

They also said that his lung function has just begun to improve. His oxygen level was hanging in the 60's before they put him on the lung machine and even though he is still on it, the oxygen levels have risen to the high 80's and even low 90's. THAT is a HUGE praise! That means his lungs are beginning to heal and I am just thankful that God is working in Will's body.

Please also remember Chelsea. Got a text from her mom just a little while ago and even though she is in rehab and doing well, she is having a terrible time with her memory. She seems to remember some things and then all of the sudden it is just gone. She is getting frustrated with herself and wants to go home so bad! She is constantly asking when she can go home and Polly just doesn't know how to handle it. Chelsea is in therapy to help her walk again. She said they have something that looks like a big pair of pants and they put her in it and it moves her legs for her and works those muscles. Technology is awesome but our GOD is more awesome!

Please just lift these up in prayer and if you think about it, just lift up my daughter Melissa as well. If you go to my other blog (on the sidebar), you can read my prayer request there. I am too tired to repeat it here....

update on Will - urgent prayer needed

We got a phone call late last night from Will's father. He had taken a turn for the worse, which according to the doctors is normal for the 3rd day of a trauma. His lungs are refusing to stay inflated, even with the chest tubes in place. The doctors told the family they had no choice but to put Will on a lung machine to keep the pressure in his lungs constant. They also said without this machine he had 0% chance. Zero. None.

But the danger of this is that to put him on this machine, they also had to start him on blood thinners. Not sure why, but I am not a doctor, so who am I to question.... Their concern is that when the blood thinners kick in, it could cause the brain and spleen to being bleeding again. They said if that happens, they will have to take him off of the lung machine and we know what that means.

Will needs your prayers now more than ever. He is a fighter. Always has been and always will be. He is a strong-willed young man with a zest for life. Please continue to lift up this precious guy in your prayers. He needs a miracle. He needs a mighty touch from GOD and we all know that we serve a God who can and who is able!

Please also remember his family. Clay (brother), Daphne (sister), and his mother and father. They have been right there at the hospital and just exist from one visit to the next. You can imagine the state of their minds at this point.

I am so thankful for prayer. I don't know where I would be or even who I would be without the amazing and powerful gift of prayer.

"I call on the LORD in distress;

The LORD answered me and set me

in a broad place."

(Psalm 118:5)

This afternoon, my husband and I found ourselves standing in an ICU room at LSU Hospital in Shreveport. The very same ICU room where we stood almost 4 months ago with Chelsea after her accident. Only today, we were standing there with a young man named Will. Will's grandmother was a church member of ours at the church we served at for 10 years and we've known him since he was 14 years old. He is now 29 and yesterday as he was working in his business with his brother and brother-in-law, trimming a tree 35 feet up, he fell and landed about 2 feet away from a concrete patio. He fell with the chainsaw still in his right hand and suffered a terrible break in his wrist on that hand.

He broke his left shoulder, shattered his pelvis, severely damaged his spleen, bruised his lungs and they both subsequently collapsed. His left eye and eye socket are severely damaged and he may lose the sight in that eye. He was bleeding from both ears and he lay there 45 minutes until the ambulance arrived. He was air-lifted from Hall Summit, La to Shreveport and taken into surgery immediately to inflate his lungs and place the chest tubes.

He is on a ventillator at this time, but mainly to keep his lungs inflated. They were able to stop the bleeding in the brain and drilled a hole in his skull to relieve the pressure. His spleen was bleeding, but after several hours, stopped on its own, so he was spared another surgery to repair that. He is being sedated but roused every hour or so. His younger brother called us as soon as they arrived at the hospital and first thing this morning, we headed out on the almost 3 hour trip to go and pray with Will and his family.

Will recognized my husbands voice immediately and opened his eye and turned his head toward him. The nurse said that was the first time he had responded to a voice in that way.

We were able to pray with him and spend a little time talking to him, but he is not very aware of what is going on.

His prognosis is good, but please remember him in prayer as he has a long way to go in his recovery. But I know that God is able and God can take what is broken and make it whole.

I am so thankful for a God that cares. A God that hears. A God that responds.

"The Lord is my strength and song,

And He has become my salvation"

Please lift the following up in prayer. In the spirit that Job had, we lift all things to the Lord and are satsified to leave them in His hands. Whatever the outcome, whatever the trial, we know the He is in control and all things are possible with Him. He is our shelter and our protector. He is our refuge and our comforter. He is our Lord and our God and without Him we are nothing.

1. Jericho - continue to pray for this little fella that was born a little too soon. He is doing well and just needs to gain a little weight so he can go home. Remember his parents - John and Carolyn.

2. Steve - Please pray for Kat's husband and their family. Steve's company had to lay people off and unfortunately he was one of them. Please pray that God will just show Himself mighty in this situation and that their walk will only be strengthened by this seemingly adverse trial. Help them to depend upon Him and not lose heart.

3. Ron - continue to remember Ron and A'belle as they are going through more health issues with Ron. Just ask God to give Ron health and strength and to give A'belle the energy she needs to take care of him.

4. Chelsea - please pray that Chelsea will just continue to astoud the doctors. She is talking!! She recognizes everyone - she still has some times that she can't remember people, but then it comes back to her. She is talking though and that is a miracle! They are starting her treatments in the hyperbaric chamber and they are hoping that will help the brain to heal even faster.

5. Lisa Smith - please continue to pray for Lisa in her battle with cancer.

6. Abby - Linda's great-niece who is 1 year old, ( http://www.beingwoven.blogspot.com/ ) had to be taken to the hospital due to a seizure. If you recall, she was in an auto accident and had a skull injury that will need more surgery. She is stabalized, but continue to pray for her and her family.

7. Chris Ledbetter - 35 year old friend of my mom's. She has cystic fibrosis and has been having some major issues with it lately. She has been in the hospital a lot, so just pray that the Lord will just touch her lungs and restore them back to health so she can live her life to the fullest.

A precious little baby boy named Jericho was born today about 6 weeks early. He weighed in at 2 lbs 4 oz and is 13" long. Please lift John and his wife, Carolyn, up in prayer and keep little Jericho in your prayers as well. Pray that he continues to grow and gain strength and that he will thrive abundantly!

Praise you Lord for little Jericho. Oh, Lord you formed him in your mighty Hands and you knew even then, that he would be born early. Lord, I just ask that you cradle him in your arms and minister to his sweet little body. Keep him strong and healthy and help him to gain weight so he can go home to his parents soon! 1. Ron is in the hospital with heart related problems. Please lift him and his precious wife Alleluiabelle up mightily to the Lord. We know that God is in control and that He has His hand on Ron and we just need to cry out on their behalf.

2. Chelsea is still in the hospital and is still comatose. They did some encouraging signs yesterday. She gave a thumbs up to the OT and tried to lift her head. They are still trying to get her into a nursing home/rehab center to begin the hyperbaric chamber sessions that they feel will aid in her healing. But so far, they have been turned down by all that they have applied to. Please continue to pray for her and for her family. The accident was February 12th and they are extremely tired and need your prayers desperately!

3. Mark Miles - just continue to bring his name to the Throne daily! He needs intervention and deliverance. His family need peace and discernment and strength.

4. Becky at http://holidayinthesun-becky.blogspot.com/ needs our prayers. She got the results back from an MRI that showed several lesions on her brain. They are doing more tests to rule out MS and we need to lift her up mightily to our precious Lord. She has given it to God and has peace, but I know that she could use our prayers as well. Meet Chelsea and Pray for her!

Polly sent me this picture yesterday of Chelsea. She said that they are thinking off capping off the trach possibly tomorrow. They are still in the process of getting a rehab center to accept her and they aren't having any positive outcome yet. They all keep telling them that Chelsea needs to be able to follow commands consistently and that hasn't happened. There is no indication that she is waking from the coma, but she does open her eyes at times.

Please lift her up mightily!!!

Please lift up Marie - her button is on the sidebar. She deals with a painful disorder and is having some problems with it now.

Thank you for joining me in prayer for so many that are in need. God hears our prayers. He responds to our prayers and He truly cares about the things that concern us. He is powerful and mighty. He can and does perform miracles. He calms, protects and heals. He ministers, covers and secures. He is everything we could ever need. All we could ever ask for. And more than we can ever imagine.

Please continue to be in prayer for Chelsea. She is 2 days shy of being in a coma for 2 months. She turned 18 a few days ago. She continues to breath on her own. She has a feeding tube and still has the trach but it is not hooked up to oxygen or a ventilator or anything. They use it to suction out her lungs/throat. She is having trouble with bed sores. She will open her eyes and follow you around the room, but they aren't sure if she opens them on command or if it is just involuntary. So far, the rehab facilities have all turned her down. They say she isn't to the place she needs to be for them to accept her. The doctors have talked to Polly about a nursing home and that really upset her. Please pray for her as she is in the process of having to make some difficult decisions as far as Chelsea is concerned. The hospital has done all they can do at this point. We know that God can wake her up at any time, but we also know that it is on HIS time and not ours. We just want His will for her life. Please lift her up to our precious Lord.

Lori got a good report as far as her chemo. It is working! Praise God! She has begun her 4th round and we just need to continue to pray that it just keeps on getting rid of the cancer. She has outlived the 6 month expectancy and I just give God all the glory and praise for that! He is so good!

Oh, sovereign Lord. I thank you first and foremost for the awesome and amazing privilege of prayer. It just utterly astounds me that we can come to the foot of the cross - at Your feet - and bare our hearts and lay our burdens down for You to pick up in your mighty Hands and tend to them and to us.

It overwhelms me to even try and comprehend the depth of your love for us. I can't even imagine the magnitude of how much you care for us. I am so thankful that we can approach the Throne of Grace boldly and with the faith that only comes from You, Father. I love you and I praise you for what you have done and will do in the lives of these we are petitioning on behalf of.

Lord, I pray your mighty blessings upon each person. Each family. Each prayer need. I pray that your Spirit will minister to each one in accordance with your will for their life. 1. Bryton - this is my 3 year old grandson belonging to my baby daughter, Ashlie. Bryton was 3 weeks early and had some heart issues at birth. He has been seeing a pediatric cardiologist for periodic checkups. The 2 holes he had in his heart closed after about a year, but at his last echogram they noticed that he had a valve that was leaking slightly and that his heart was slightly enlarged for his body size. He goes tomorrow for his next follow-up echogram. Please pray that all goes well and that his heart is normal and that he will be discharged completely! We won't get the results until April 14th and that is always hard to wait on as well.
2. Lisa Smith - continue to lift her up as she battles cancer.
3.. Kat - she has surgery on the 25th. Please pray that the doctors will have the knowledge and wisdom needed to operate effectively and that Kat will wake up and be pain free. Pray that she will not be fearful of being put to sleep and that the Lord will minister to her even now.
4. Chelsea - she is still in a coma but she is still in a regular room. She has not been moved to rehab yet as they are waiting for the center to accept her. She did fight off the pneumonia but has a C-diff infection at this time. They down-sized her trach which is a good thing. She is still responding to pain stimulis, but has not made any noticeable effort to awaken. Please continue to lift her and her family up in prayer.
5. Jedidiah - 3 year old little boy battling cancer. His button is on the sidebar so you can go and read about him. Please pray for this precious little fella. I just hate cancer! I am praying that he will be healed mightily and for the glory of God!

PRAISES!

1. Chelsea - oh my goodness, God is so good! Chelsea is off the ventilator. Can I hear a big AMEN?? She is on day 23 of her coma since being hit physically by a car on February 12th. The surgery to put the trach in was a big success. They were able to drain some fluid off of her brain a few days ago and so far, her body is absorbing any new fluid and so the plans for a shunt have been canceled. She is beginning to open her eyes (mostly her left one) and she has responded to pain stimulus on her feet, but not her arms.

The doctors are very encouraged and her parents are too. Please continue to pray for her. We are believing a miracle! I knew that when we were in the hospital room that night, the presence of God was SO thick in there! I know that He is watching over her and we are just praying for His will in her life.

2. Robert Adams - got home from MD Anderson - NO EVIDENCE of any tumor in his throat. Oh, Praise You Jesus!!! Yes, He is a miracle worker! Robert is getting his strength back. He is eating a little more is talking so much better. Continue to pray for him as they have another PET scan in April to check a few lymph nodes in his neck area.

Oh, precious Father, today I lift up so many hurting and wounded people today. People touched by death and sickness. People that need a Savior and a Healer. People that need a Comfortor and a Sustainer. I lift each one up to you today and ask that you minister to each one in the way that they need specifically.

Minister healing to those that are sick. Minister hope to those that are downtrodden. Minister love to those that are feeling alone. Give strength to the weary. Peace to the anxious. Comfort to those mourning.

1. Chelsea will be having surgery at 2 PM to place a trach and a feeding tube in. Her ICP has finally stabilized enough for them to do the surgery. This is day 18 of the coma. She is no better and no worse. Please lift up this precious girl and her family to the Lord.

2. Lisa Smith - continue to pray for her as she is fighting against cancer. Pray for healing and strength and guidance.

3. Westin's family - little Westin lost the earthly battle with cancer but won the heavenly prize of life eternal. Please lift up his parents and family as they have to face life without this precious child. We don't know the whys and hows, but we do know the ONE who gives life and takes away life. He alone had a purpose for Westin and I have to believe that it is being fulfilled at this very moment as he in the presence of Jesus.

4. Layla Grace - pray for this precious little 2 year old as she in the last stages of Neuroblastoma. NB is a devastating cancer and pray that she will be able to remain pain free at this time. Lift up her sweet family. I can NOT imagine what it would be like to be in that situation. By the grace of God, we aren't, but they are. Please lift them up.

Update on Chelsea

We had a good trip to Shreveport today. We were able to go into the ICU room to see Chelsea. It was hard to see her in that condition. She has the ICP (Intracranial pressure) probe sticking out of the top of her head. She is very swollen in her facial area - her eye socket was shattered in the accident. She has a broken shoulder and several broken ribs. She has some major bruises on the other side of her body where she hit the pavement.

She is breathing over the vent which is good. They are going to do a trach as soon as she is more stable to keep her lungs clear. Her blood pressure was good. Her ICP is still spiking at times. It was at 40 when we got there and as we prayed it went down and hung around 14 to 17 which as much better. They are trying to keep things very calm around her - no loud talking and no touching her. We had to speak in whispers. She seemed to be resting good while we were there.

While we were praying the presence of God was ALL over that room! It was just the most awesome feeling - the Spirit was just so heavy that you could feel the power. It brought a floodgate of tears from me - just overwhelming.

We are believing that God is working in Chelsea's life. He is the author of life and He is in control of all things and Chelsea is in His Hands.

Please continue to pray! Thank you so much!

Please pray for us as we are about to leave and head to Shreveport ( 3 hours away). We are going to see Chelsea and her family. She has been in a coma for 10 days. THere has been no change to speak of. Her CAT scan they did yesterday showed nothing new. But praise God that it wasn't any worse either. Her mom called me last night and said that for the first time in 10 days, the doctors were a little encouraging. They say the fact that she has held on this long is amazing. I call it a miracle. She had begun to posture the other day, but now they think that it is her body trying to wake up and trying to heal. Over the weekend the ICP (pressure in her brain) was rising to limits they didn't like so they couldn't even go into her room until yesterday. They can go in and talk softly now, but they can't touch her. We will get to go in and anoint her with oil and pray for her.

PLEASE be praying for us around 2 PM. That's when we will be in her room. Chelsea is a precious 17 year old believer and lover of God. She is the sweetest thing. Her boyfriend hasn't left the hospital since it happend. Please pray for all of them.

Please pray for little Westin as his battle with cancer is taking a hard hit right now. He is a precious little 5 yr old that is fighting for his life. Please lift up his sweet family.

A few nights ago, a young girl (17) that went to our previous church was hit by a car. She was on a winding country road and when she came around a curve, noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road and stopped to see if she could help. She pulled off to the side and got out of her car and as she was walking around to the other vehicle, another vehicle coming around the curve didn't see her and hit her. The driver of the other car was another young teenage girl of 16, and a member of our church. Jimbo actually baptized both of these girls when they were about 14.

Chelsea is in ICU in SHreveport. She is in a coma and has been for 4 days. The have been keeping her sedated, but to the point that if she was waking up they would know it. THere has been no change in her. The doctors told her mother that every minute she has with Chelsea is a miracle. Tonight, they have noticed that she is beginning to 'posture' and that is not a good sign. Please pray for Chelsea, her mother Polly and for Chelsea's little sister and brother.

Please pray for the young girl that hit her. She is really having a hard time. It was not her fault. She was not speeding and if you knew the road, you would know she couldn't not have seen Chelsea in time to stop. Alyssa needs our prayers as well as her mom and dad.

Thank you so much for the prayers you lift up. I love knowing that there are so many prayer warriors out there!

Oh, indeed the Lord is so good! I just give Him praise for so much this week.

Jimbo and his team were stuck at the Mumbai, India airport for almost 48 hours, due to the terrorist alert going on on Thursday and Friday. They had 2 cancelled flights and a near riot in the airport. They finally got out on an Arab airline and had to land in Saudi Arabia for a brief time and then on to London and then New York and then Atlanta and then home! He was so exhausted and is still jet-lagged.

Their mission trip was a huge success. 500 salvations ! Can I get an Amen here, please?? God is so good and He is so worthy of all the sacrifices we make on His behalf.

Robert is home from MD Anderson after completing his final chemo/radiation last week. He is doing fairly well. He still has the feeding tube as he can only swallow water, but his throat is better and he is talking so good! The hoarseness is gone and he is beginning to have some feeling in his throat. He will return in 6 weeks for some further tests. Please continue to pray for him and the healing that is still taking place in his body. He was at church on Sunday and it was so good to have him back in the sanctuary!

Jimbo - my husband. He leaves Monday morning for an 11-day mission trip to India. He is going with Doug Rider, who is the brother of J.D. (his friend who died of cancer back in Sept.) The group they respresent is "light in the 10/40 window". They will be doing work in orphanages and they will be discipling new christian men and helping them to grow stronger in their faith and helping them to learn how to spread the gospel themselves. Please pray for their safety on this trip. One of the churches this group was responsible for building several years ago, was burned by arsonists and the pastor and his wife were locked inside and the congregation forced to watch.

Jane Hagan - she is 72 and a friend of my mothers. She has had some major health issues this past year and just recently they discovered that one of her heart valves is leaking on all sides. Please pray that the doctors will have discernment on the best course of treatment and that Jane will remain strong in her faith during this trying time.

I have a few prayer requests - please join me as I lift them up to the Throne of Grace. Some need healing. Some need ministering to. Some need a mighty touch from the Lord. Some NEED the Lord.

Dave - biopsy came back positive for cancer. He will begin radiation as he is too weak for chemo. Please pray for Dave as he begins this treatment. He will need strength and comfort. He needs peace of mind. He needs a touch from our Savior.

Leah - infant that had EB - died unexpectedly today after g-tube surgery. Please pray for that precious child's family. I can't imagine what they are going through. Lift them up and pray for their spirits to be ministered by the Lord.

Amanda Buckland - This young woman (27) lost her husband, 4 year old son and 8 month old daughter to a fire about 2 weeks ago. She needs our prayers in a desperate way. I just can't even begin to fathom what her heart is experiencing. Please join me in praying for this precious young woman.

Ryann - 1 year old little girl with pneumonia.

Jimmy - Beth E's brother - continue to pray for him as he is recovering from his skin disorder.

Stephanie - young girl with AIDS. I talked with her mom today. She is in a lot of pain, but is still at home and will be I think for the remainder of her life. Her mother, Pam, needs our prayers - she is experiencing some financial difficulties as well as the emotional rollercoaster she is on.

Melissa is almost completely back to normal. Her hemoglobin is still a little low at 10 but she is getting her strength back! Praise the Lord. She is truly a miracle. Her liver enzymes were completely normal. She still has to go back for another check up in a month, but the doctor was very pleased with her progress.

Mea - 6 year old little girl with eye problems. Continue to pray for her.

I have a few urgent prayer requests - please join me as I lift them up to the Throne of Grace. If you have time please scroll down to the posts below and continue to cry out on behalf of those listed there as well as those on the sidebar.

Denise's husband, Eddie, has had a stroke. They were unable to administer the proper medicine in time to prevent the most damage. Please pray as he undergoes tests such as MRI's, CAT scans, etc. Please pray for Denise as she is by his side and unsure of what is happenening or the outcome. Pray that the Lord will give her peace and comfort and that she will be strengthened in Him.

Thena has requested prayer for her step father-in-law, Dave. They think he has cancer of the kidney/bladder and he needs our prayers in a mighty way tonight. Please pray for the doctors as they decide on a treatment plan and pray that Dave will be filled with peace and comfort.

Stephanie - please continue to pray for this 25 year old young woman with AIDS. I spoke with her mother, Pam, today and they are taking her home for Christmas and don't expect her to live much longer. Please pray that the Lord will work in their lives and that He will give them strength to make it through this tough ordeal.

Continue to pray for Loren in the loss of her precious daddy Doug.

Continue to pray for Melanie and her family as they encounter their first holiday after losing Andrew.

Pray for Doug's family and others...

"And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Doug lost his battle with cancer this morning, but He won the victory that he obtained through the shed blood of his precious Savior and is experiencing the taste of the glorious splendor of our mighty God and King! Please pray for Loren and all of her family as they go through this sad and trying time. Even though we know our loved ones are with Jesus, we still miss them and mourn for them. Pray that God's peace will surround them all at this time and that He will be their comfort.

Jed - a new mass is growing in his right lung. He is currently on another round of chemo that will last 4 to 6 months. Pray that this treatment will do the job on this cancerous mass. Please remember his wife Diane at this time that the Lord will fill her with supernatural peace and that she will be able to stand by Jed's side and support him and be strong for him.

Gilbert - just diagnosed with mesothelioma (cancer). Please pray for him and healing from this terrible disease. Pray that he will be strengthened and comforted at this time.

Barrie - undergoing radiation after a lumpectomy for breast cancer.

Kat - she is still battling pain from an unknown source. Possibly OB/GYN related or GI related. Please pray that the doctors will find the source and that she will be able to obtain treatment to take of the problem. She is spending much of her time in bed and on pain medications and I know that she is ready to feel better and enjoy this season that we celebrate our Savior's birth! Lift her up to the throne of grace every time you think about it! She is a precious woman of God and we need to pray that God will raise her up mightily!

Mea - Kat's 6 year old niece. She is suffering from some type of eye disease that is taking the sight in one of her eyes. It is complicated, but basically we need to pray that the Lord will intervene and touch her eye and cause it to be whole and restored to perfect sight! Kat has the info on her blog if you want to hop over there and get the details. Her button is on the sidebar. Please pray for this precious little girl!

Alleluiabelle's sister - just found out there is the possibility of cancerous cells present in her urine. She had gone to the doctor for pelvic and back pain and upon taking the sample and getting the results back, he has now referred her to a urologist. She has an appointment the 22nd. Please pray that the Lord will touch her and heal her!

Melissa - continue to pray for her. She is doing so much better! She is getting her strength back so I know that her counts are getting better on her blood work! Her color is better and she is getting back to her old self! We go back Tuesday for labs and a doctor visit. Be in prayer that her liver enzymes are back to normal and that her hemoglobin is back to normal. Thank you so much! I know that God performed a miracle in her life and I just continue to praise Him for it and give Him all the glory.

Prayer Needs - Lift them up to our Lord!

We praise you Lord, from the depths of our souls, that You came to be our light and that You shine on us when we are in the darkness and under death's shadow. Oh, precious Father, you are the sustainer of our being. You are the lifter of our heads. You are the beacon in our darkness. You are the one of who hides us, covers us and strengthens us. We ask that you cover those in sorrow and mourning. Give them supernatural peace. Grant them a glimpse of hope that comes from You. Bestow sweet mercy and comfort on their wounded hearts. Reveal yourself mighty to them at this time. Be near to them and let them feel the closeness like never before. Thank you sweet Jesus for all that you do. For all that you are. For all that we can be through you. You are indeed the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We pray this in the mighty and saving and sustaining name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Please lift up Andrew's family tonight. His mother Melanie, her husband and their other 2 children need a mighty manifestation of the presence of God. Andrew receiving his heavenly healing. He no longer suffers from cancer. He no longer is in pain. He no longer has to face uncertainty. He is worshipping our Savior at this very moment. He is on his face and giving all glory to God! Thank you Lord for the comfort you are giving and will continue to give to his precious family.

Continue to pray for Lori - she is the mother of young children and she is fighting a battle with cancer. A fierce battle with a fierce cancer. Oh, precious Father, I rebuke the hold that cancer has on this precious woman. I pray that if it be your holy will, that Lori will experience the healing in her body that will cause that cancer to depart. Father, if earthly healing is not what You have for Lori, I ask that You give her the strength and the faith that she needs to walk the path that she is heading down now. Lift her up. Grant her peace. Thank you Lord for being with Lori and her family at this time.

Sweet Doug still needs our prayers. As do Loren and her brother and the other family members. Doug is in the last stages of his battle with cancer and short of a miracle, Doug will be with Jesus soon. I am so thankful that Doug has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Hallellujah! That is the most important factor here. Doug knows that if he isn't healed here on earth, that he will spend the rest of eternity with his precious Lord. Thank you Lord that Doug answered the call of repentance and salvation. Grant Loren and her family peace unfathomable and comfort immeasureable. Show them your love in a powerful way at this time. Let them glimpse the splendor of who You are. Thank you Lord for what You will accomplish through the life of Doug.

Pray for the Scotty Berry family. He is a man in our town that lost his short but agressive battle with cancer today. He was 70 years old and a precious man of God. He is celebrating with Jesus tonight! Thank you Lord that Scotty is in Your presence worshipping and praising You! Comfort the family and give them peace that only comes from You.

Prayer and Praise! God is so Amazing!

As we earnestly bow low and seek a Word from our Savior, let's lift up those in need of a powerful and mighty touch from our precious Father. He is the almighty Healer. He is the great Comforter. He is our Provider, our Friend, our Lord and our Master. He is everything that we could ever need. All that we could ever want. More than we can ever imagine. He is our all in all. He is Jesus. He is God.

Father, I ask that your perfect will be done in the lives of all these precious people. I ask that you cover them with your wing. I ask that you place a hedge about them. I ask that you reach down and touch them in a real and powerful way. I ask that you strengthen them. That you grant them peace. That you comfort hearts and minister to spirits. I ask that your precious spirit penetrate deeply in their souls. Reveal yourself to them in an amazing and awesome manner. Give them security in their beliefs. Bring healing to their bodies. Life to their weary souls. Pour yourself out to them and be all that need You to be. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

Doug - Loren's dad is not doing well. It appears that the 5 days of radiation he will obtain is pallative at best and they are preparing for hospice. Please pray for Loren and her brother! They need supernatural intervention from God to be able to stand in the face of this devastating news. Please pray that Doug has surety of salvation. That he knows without a shadow of a doubt He is a child of God.

Westin D - little boy with neuroblastoma. He has been battling this for several years and the cancer has returned. Please pray for Westin and his family.

Stephanie - I met this young girls (25) mom in ICU when Melissa was in the hospital. Stephanie is in the last stages of aids and the doctor feels she has a week or so left to live. Please lift up her mother Pam - this is very devastating to her and she is having a rough time.

Robert - He has started round 3 of chemo and round 1 of radiation. He is suffering big time from the radiation. His tongue is so swollen he can barely talk and he can't eat. He is relying fully on the feeding tube at this time which they had to put back in on Monday because it had come out. Please continue to lift him up and pray for complete healing! He is doing better, but still has a long way to go.

Lori - young woman with cancer - it has spread all over and she is not doing well at this time. Please lift her up as well as her family. She has young children and I know this is so hard for her to realize that she may be leaving the children behind. I can't image as a mother what she is going through. Please pray for her. She needs a miracle and my God is in the miracle business! Praise His name!!

Katie - Jackie's daughter experience a miracle last week! Praise the Lord that He put His hand upon this precious young lady and delivered her from an almost certain death.

Bill - Yolanda's husband had a procedure today and the doctors found nothing! Praise God that Bill has also experienced the mighty power of God's healing!

Melissa - continue to lift her up as her liver is still in the process of healing. She is doing so good but is still very tired. Blood work still heading in the right direction. I praise Him for the miracle He performed in her life.

Edie - I pray that God blesses her abundantly! I ipray that God just surrounds her with the joy of who He is and that she is ministered to in a mighty way!

Jaime - I pray God's hand upon this young man. I pray He draws him close to His side and that Jaime experiences a mighty touch!

Nothing brings comfort quite like knowing that God isour help. He is the maker of all things. He is the keeper of eternity. He is the creator. When we are in distress, He hears. When we are weary, He strengthens. When we are scared, He calms. When we can't, He can.

Praise you Jesus, for being mindful of us. Praise you Jesus for always being there and for tucking us safely in the cleft of the rock. You are awesome and amazing. You are astounding. You are glorious. You are God.

Prayer Requests

Doug - Loren's dad is not doing well. He is getting weaker and he is not eating. Loren will head to her dad's house next week to see her dad for herself and to spend some good quality time with her sweet father. Please pray that Loren and her brother will have a wonderful visit with their dad. Pray that Doug will be receptive to the need for his salvation. Pray that the Lord will strengthen and uphold him. Pray that the chemo will be doing it's job and the cancer is getting smaller.

Edie- unspoken request. Please pray that the Lord will reach down and touch this precious sister in Christ. Pray that He will show Himself mighty to her and that He will amaze her with what He can do in her life. Pray that God will continue to bless her and reveal His great glory to her.

Henninger family - pray for this precious family - Kimberly is about 11 weeks pregnant and at the last ultrasound there was something present around that babies brain called a cystic hygroma that could signal a chromosomal problem. Please pray that the Lord will heal this baby. They lost a baby at 30 weeks and I know they are very frightened and struggling.

Stephanie - pray for this 25 year old young woman. I met her mom "P" in the waiting room when my daughter was in ICU. She has spinal meningitis and has been in the hospital 2 weeks. The last day I was there, the mom shared with me that she had just found out that Stephanie has Aids. The doctors finally convinced her to tell her mom. She is in the last stages and the doctors have told her mom that she probably wouldn't survive over 2 weeks. Please pray for this family. Stephanie did accept Christ as her Savior about 3 weeks ago. Praise God for that miracle!

Kat - please continue to pray for Kat. She is still sick. Apparently an awful stomach bug that just won't let go. Please pray that she will be strengthened. Pray that the tests she has undergone will reveal the problem so she can get the proper medication. Pray that she will experience the mighty healing hand of our precious Lord!

Melissa - please continue to pray for my daughter. We are home but she is extremely weak and tired. She has several follow up appointments next week to monitor her blood counts. Pray for continued healing in her body. God has been so good and I give Him all the praise the He is so worthy of!

Thank you for lifting these precious ones up to the Throne of Grace. I love each and every one of you with the awesome love of Christ!

"Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud; And He shall hear my voice." (Psalm 55:17)

This precious little girl with Melissa, is Aissa (eye-sa). When Melissa arrived at the Medical Mission Compound, Aissa had been there 4 months. She arrived with her uncle in May with a horrifying and disfiguring wound on her right cheekbone. It had eaten through her cheek and there was a hole completely through her face, bone and all.

Aissa is about 6 years old and when she arrived, she weighed 10 kilos, which is about 22 pounds. The infection she had they call "cankermortis" and the doctors say it most likely began with an abcessed tooth. Aissa was abandoned by her parents and was living with other relatives when her uncle found her and immediately brought her to the hospital. They don't speak French or English - only their tribal language so communication is hard.

When they arrived, the doctors didn't even think that little Aissa would live. They said the infection she had was about 95% fatal. By the grace and mercy of God, little Aissa survived. She is fully recovered from the infection and is up to about 36 pounds. In March, she will go to the "Mercy Ship" and have reconstructive surgery. She was accepted into that program a few months ago.

Please pray for precious little Aissa. She just stole Melissa's heart. It was hard to leave her. The picture above is her modeling some cothes that Melissa and Sarah (the PA) had made for her. She was just so excited and didn't want to mess them up!

Her face has to remain covered. Melissa said you can see straight into her mouth. There is a literal hole going all the way through flesh and bone. Please begin praying for the doctors who will perform the surgery. Pray for Aissa as she undergoes this major operation that she will recover and be protected against infection. Pray for her Uncle as he will travel with her. And for the Lord to intervene on where little Aissa will go to live afterward. Pray the somehow, little Aissa will be exposed to the gospel. She is from a muslim tribe and I hate to think that this precious little one will grow up and not know Jesus.

Jed - He is doing good right now. He will have a PET scan on December 7th and surgery on December 30th. He will undergo laser radiation on the spot on his brain. Pray for the placement of the HALO. Pray that the spot to be radiated will respond to treatment. Pray for his wife.

Jimmy - (Beth E.'s brother) continue to lift him up and pray for the problems he is having with his feet and legs. Pray that the doctors will find the right treatment to take care of this problem. Pray for Jimmy to have strength and renewed faith in the Lord.

Abby - we prayed for her earlier this year. She was in a car accident when she was 6 months old and had to have a piece of her skull replaced. That piece of bone is now dying and she will have to have an acrylic piece to replace it, but the doctors don't want to do it until April when she is 18 months old. So now she will go back to wearing the helmet for protection. Please be in prayer for her and for her parents as they wait until time for surgery.

Kat - please continue to pray for Kat that she will receive ultimate healing from the Lord. Pray for her to be pain-free. Pray for her to completely rely on the Lord for her strength. Pray that the Lord will reach down and touch her in a mighty way.

Doug - continue to pray for Loren's dad. Pray that the chemo will continue to irradicate the cancer. Pray that he will receive strength from the Lord. Pray that his heart will be drawn to Jesus in a powerful and life-changing way.

Skylar - Dawn's grandson. He has H1N1 - pray that he will recover with no complications.

Robert - is doing so much better! He was actually at Lowe's in Houston on Sunday doing a little shopping. He has gained 6 pounds! He is regaining strength. He will begin a combination chemo/radiation the first of December. The doctors said it will NOT be as agressive as the last chemo. Please pray that he will continue to gain weight and be able to eat a little bit. He still has the feeding tube and will continue with it until the radiation is done. The radiation will most likely render him unable to swallow well again. Pray that the Lord will just protect that area and that he will not lose that ability.

It is Beth E.'s brother and he is suffering with extreme eczema that is causing his feet and hands to crack and split and it is quite painful. Please remember him and ask the Lord to help the doctors to be able to do something to help the condition and eleviate the pain.

Please pray for Kat - she is still suffering with ovarian cyst/endometriosis and that can be quite painful and frustrating. Please pray that she will continue to be pain-free and that she will have peace as she makes decisions about treatment.

Robert is doing better! Praise God for that! He actually ordered food at the hospital and ATE a little for the first time in over 2 months. He ate doritos, taco salad, key lime pie and ice cream. That is a miracle. He hasn't been able to swallow at all or taste. This is a Praise! We were so excited at prayer time last night when we talked with His daughter!

The feeding tube problem is solved ( I think). He was allergic to the sugar in the formula and they adjusted and it is better now. His MRI came back with the large cancer cell in his throat significantly smaller. The other small lesions in his throat are very tiny. The doctors said they would continue with more chemo but not as aggressive as the last round. And radiation as well. Continue to pray for God's Hand to be upon Robert. This was very encouraging news.

Linda is still recovering from the brain surgery, but is SO much better. She called today and was working on the church bulletin for Sunday - Praise God!! She is another miracle in progress.

Phyllis will begin radiation in about 10 days. She went through 2 rounds of chemo and is starting to feel better. Pray that the radiation won't zap her too bad. She is so precious and needs strength and encouragement!

Lori - the young woman with cancer - devastating cancer all over her body. Please lift her up daily! Please pray for comfort and peace and healing. We need to agree for the Lord's will to be done in her life and that she will have a peace that only comes from him.

Sawyer - my sweet little 7 month old grandson is sick. They are still in Colorado ( 2 weeks to go!) and he is running fever and not feeling well. Pray for him and his sweet mama. And for Bryton - that he won't catch it from brother!

Melissa - we are on our way to Baton Rouge right now to pick her up at the airport. She lands at 4:34 PM. She left Cameroon yesterday morning at 8 AM and has been traveling since. I know that she is going to be exhausted. Please pray for her that she will be able to recover quickly and that Lord will show her the next step in her journey with Him clearly!

Lord, I know that there are so many people that I do not know about that are in need of prayer today. I ask that you be Merciful where mercy is needed. Be the Comforter where comfort is lacking. Replace rejection with acceptance. Replace depression with joy. Replace confusion with peace. Precious Father, those that are searching need discernment. Those that are under conviction need a spirit of repentance and a hunger for righteousness. Those that are empty need filling.

Precious Father, You are the Maker of the Stars. You are the Savior of the world, the Healer of our hearts, and the Keeper of eternity. I give you all glory and honor tonight. You are mighty and powerful and You are God.

Thank you Lord for the privilege of prayer. Thank you that we can come to you and lay our burdens at Your feet. We can cry out to you and you hear us. You answer us. You listen and You love.

Forgive me where I have failed you. Help me to be a vessel worthy of your calling. Help me to rely on You alone. Help me to be ever mindful of your sovereignty. I worship you. I adore you. I love you.

I lift up each name to you tonight Lord. I ask a special blessing upon each one listed. Oh, Lord send your precious Spirit to each person and family. Cover them in your amazing grace. Robert - in the hospital at MD Anderson. Feeding tube not functioning properly. Undergoing tests. One of the experimental chemos is giving Robert the worst side effects they have seen. His face is a solid raw mess. Blistered and bleeding. Painful. So painful that he can't even stand the air to touch it. Keeps his head covered with a blanket. PLEASE pray for Robert. He can't swallow at all due to the cancer and with the feeding tube messed up he is very very weak! Oh, Lord, have mercy on Robert tonight. Help the doctors to find the right combination of food for his tube and help him to be strengthened in You! Thank you for sweet Robert and what you are going to do in his life and be glorified for.

Carol - doing well in rehab since the stroke 3 months ago. She will be home in 5 days! Yes, the Lord is amazing! She is still having trouble with the left side of her body. Bkut she is doing so much better! Thank you for Carol, Lord. Thank you for the miracle of her life and continue to be with her as she endures more recovery and rehab.

Michelle - she and her family need prayer. Lift them up mightily.Lord, please minister to Michelle and her family. Show yourself in a powerful way to them that they might know that they have encountered You.

Asher - young man needing prayer. Please pray for the Lord to speak and for Asher to hear. Pray for the spirit of depression to be lifted and for the spirit of renewal to be placed upon him. Thank you for Asher, sweet Lord.

Lori - young woman with cancer. Please pray for the Lord to perform a miracle if it is His will. If healing is not His will, please pray for the Lord to be merciful and give her peace and comfort. Pray for her precious family as well. Thank you, Lord, for Lori. May your will be accomplished in her life. Help those around her be able to minister in the proper way. Give those friends wisdom and strength.

Linda - Her surgery was a major success. The doctor was able to find the nerve that was causing the pain and he removed a large blood vessel from it that was pressing upon it. When she woke up from surgery, she was already rating her pain at a 2 compared to a 9 or more from before. She came home yesterday and is doing great! OH, Yes, Praise you, Lord for Linda!! Hallelujah!

Stellan - his surgery was also a success and no more SVT for the little fella. Thank you Lord! We give you all praise and glory for this little boy and his miracle!

I have a few new request to add and didn't want to let these disappear just yet.

1. Linda Benton - lady in my church will be having brain surgery in a few hours. I am headed with my fella to Shreveport as I type this (3 hours from our home). She has been experiencing severe, debilitating and constant facial/head pain on one side for months now. Sleeping only with the aid of medicine and not good at that, she has finally FINALLY! got some answers! Praise you LORD! The neurologist discovered 2 nerves in her brains are rubbing together, so to speak,and causing this irritation and pain. He will go in and put a 'buffer' between the nerves. Please pray for the surgeon, Linda and her husband Ted.

2. Stellan - he is in surgery at this very moment for a heart ablation. He is not doing well and the surgery became a "must". Please pray for little Stellan. He is 1 year old and I just can't imagine what his family is experiencing. Pray for mercy on him and for the doctors to have wisdom and strength and preciseness! Thank you Lord for precious Stellan.

3. Lori - 45 year old mother of 3 with cancer all over her body. It started several years ago when they removed cancer from her eyelid and now it is back, and short of a miracle, she will die. She has 3 children and her husband died a year ago from cancer as well. Please lift her up mightily! She needs healing, strength, comfort, peace. She needs our prayers in a big way. Pray for the children.

Thank you Lord for Lori. Touch her body, Lord Jesus. If it be your will, wipe the cancer out of her body. Renew her health. Minister to her spirit. Love her Lord. Love her as only You can.

Doug - has another chemo treatment next week. He is just regaining his strength and now will experience another treatment that just knocks the wind out of his sails. Please pray for a mighty strength that just completely blows him away that he knows it can only be of the Lord! Oh, Praise you Lord for Doug!

Robert Adams - has a feeding tube in place now and is feeling a little stronger. He has 2 more chemo treatments before radiation begins. He is talking a little better. His swallowing is maybe a tad better, but not enough to afford him the nutrition he needed, hence the feeding tube. He has a terrible rash all over his face that is a side effect of the chemo. Painful and blistering and bleeding. He keeps his head covered up most of the day to keep the light off of it which causes great pain. He felt good enough today to tell me to take lots of vitamin C for my flu and was giving me the strengths and doses. The pharmacist was coming out in in and I was just tickled to hear him giving orders! Praise you Jesus for Robert!

Jed - got great news this week. Clear lung scans - no nodules! Praise you Lord! The spot on his brain had been reduced by 50%! Yes! Thank you Lord for answered prayer. Praise you Lord for Jed!

Ron and Alleluiabelle - Ron still needs our prayers. Alleluiabelle, her son and 2 of her grandkids have the flu and they need a touch from the Lord. Thank you Lord for this precious family!

Wanai - needs prayer for her entire family. Not sure of the needs but she has reached out to me through email and just needs our prayers in a desperate way. I know she mentioned her mother, father, brother, sister and husband. Please lift her and this family up! Praise you Lord for what you will do in their life through the awesome power of prayer!

Laraine - dealing with infertility and desire a child. Please pray that if the Lord so desires that He will open her womb and grant her a child of her own. Praise you Lord for Laraine!

Phyllis - finished chemo and will begin radiation in a few more weeks. Please pray for her strength to remain and for her body to respond to these treatments. Praise you Lord for Phyllis!

This is the face that greeted me when I dropped off her big brother and sister yesterday. Mercie was feeling so much better. She is still running a low grade temp and has been throwing up today, but that is probably from the strong antibiotics she is on.

I just want to let you all know how much I coveted and appreciated the prayers that were lifted up on behalf of my precious little grandbaby. It really means so much to know that others are praying with you and for you.

I have some prayer requests to add and hope to do it maybe tomorrow. I started running fever last night of about 101 and I feel really rough today. I am aching and weak and very congested. I just can't get my thoughts together right now.

I will post some new prayer requests tomorrow - I promise! If you have any, please let me know.

Please lift up my sweet granddaughter Mercie (21 months) in your prayers tonight. She is in the hospital with fever of 103.9 and a very high white count of 17.4. We aren't sure what is going on, but they are giving her IV Rocephin and fluids. They have done x-rays, bloodwork and other tests. They said her ear and throat infection wasn't bad enough to cause such a high white count, so they have her in to see what is causing it.

I have Mikaela and Eli with me so Megan and Rod can both be with her in the hospital tonight. Please remember them all in your prayers. I would appreciate it so very much!

I am Believing God - Saturday Steps of Faith

"But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27)

I believe God can do anything. His Word tells us that all things are possible with Him. He is all authority and He is the Healer.

The reason that we don't receive the healing, is because we don't believe the healing. Our faith doesn't back up our great need. Many times in the bible we see where Jesus says, "Your faith has made you well". Mark 10:52, Luke 7:50, Luke 8:48. We need to have a faith that strong. We need to believe that God can do what He says He can do. We need to ask believing that He can and will do it!

I am believing God for healing in the lives of many.

Prayer Needs today

"And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness." (Acts 4:31)

Prayer Requests:

Nikki and Chad - continue to lift that family up to the Lord asking for the Holy Spirit to minister in a HUGE way to their hearts as they deal with the loss of their sweet Johanna. As they take each day at time, pray for them to go forward with the Lord and allow Him to fill them with such sweet peace and comfort that can only come from our Almighty Savior. Pray that He will wrap them up in His loving arms and be ever so present in their lives.

Doug - please remember Doug and his battle with lung/brain cancer. Believe God for healing in his body! Believe God for drawing Doug to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior. Pray for his family as they stand by and support him in his treatment. Pray for his daughter Loren as she still recovers from her surgery and that the Lord will continue to give her strength to deal with her father's illness.

Carol Wood - she is a woman about 50 years old that was in a terrible car wreck August 31st. She shattered both of her legs and her left arm. She has had several surgeries on her legs - has a steel rod in the femur of her left leg and the lower right leg. She has pins in her arm, but they didn't do surgery due to the nature of her injuries and the immediacy of her leg surgeries. She currently is at a rehab center in Springdale, Ark. and is confined to a wheelchair. She is unable to walk at this time. She has no feeling in her lower arm/hand/fingers on the left side. She is having a hard time being so dependent on someone else for her every need.

We are preaching a revival at a church here in NW Arkansas and someone asked Jimbo and I to go see her and pray with her. The devil did NOT want us to go. We tried to find the place yesterday and couldn't so we went back today and located the place and received the biggest blessing. She is a precious woman of Christ and we had an awesome visit with her talking about the Lord and then Jimbo anointed her with oil and we prayed for her. We are believing God for a miracle - that she will regain use of her legs and her arm when the Lord deems the time to be right! Pray for her to be content to wait on the Lord and to know that HE knows the time for all things to take place.

Wanz - an email request I received to pray for God's mighty work in their life. For the Lord to remove the darkness that besieges them. For the Lord to bless them with a child when the time is right. Please lift up Wanz each time you think about it.

Pray for Steve's family and Little Johanna's family

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

We had been praying for Steve - he was very ill with the H1N1 flu and deteriorated daily. He passed away yesterday. Please lift up his precious family. Steve was 56 and leaves behind a wife, children and grandchildren.

Lord, surround Steve's family with your sweet presence today. Envelope them in your awesome mercy. Your precious peace. Your abiding Spirit. Minister to their hearts. Heal their hurts. Make yourself ever known to them in the days to come.

Precious little Johanna was born this morning and an hour later, her mother and father released her to the waiting arms of Jesus. Nikki and Chad knew that moment was coming and they have handled it with such amazing faith and strength. Pray for that family as they make the difficult arrangements and deal with the hard days that will surely follow. Pray for their little boy Clayton as I'm sure he doesn't even begin to understand what has happened.

Sweet Father, thank you for the life of little Johanna. Even though she wasn't here on earth very long, her life was ordained and numbered by You. Even in the womb, You knew what the span of her sweet life would be. You numbered the hairs on her sweet little head. You created Johanna in the image of You. Thank you for Johanna. Please wrap her parents up in your loving and mighty arms. Shower them with your peace and your love. Minister to their souls, hearts and minds. Be their everything in the days to follow. Guide them. Strengthen them. Let Johanna's brief life bring glory to you in the days to come.

Thank you Father, that you hear our prayers. Thank you that you hear our cry. You listen, you answer. We thank you for that. Thank you for your healing hand upon my sweet daughter Melissa. Lord, you provided a miracle in her life and I am eternally grateful and will give you ALL glory and honor and praise for what you accomplished. Pray for Leslie - she will undergo a double mastectomy on the 27th. Her husband Bob needs salvation.

I finally talked with Melissa around 4 PM yesterday which was 10 PM her time in Africa. She had slept with the help of some codeine. She said her head was a little better - it didn't feel as if it would explode... Her fever was down to 101 - her stomache was VERY upset.. - she was still aching all over and very, very weak. The tentative diagnosis is still Malaria. The testing they have there isn't very reliable so they mainly go on symptoms. One of the other men there at the mission has it as well. They are trying to rule out disentery today. Please Lord... no distentery.... She has been taking Malaria pills, but it is basically just a antibiotic that HELPS to keep it at bay. They may start her on one of 2 medicines today. One of them has some awful side effects, so they are thinking about the 2nd one.

*I haven't heard from her today. I am just patiently waiting. Patiently devouring His Word. Patiently releasing her into the hands of her Father knowing that He will hold her and He will keep her safe. He is the One who is in control and He has a plan. I covet your prayers for Melissa and her daddy and me as well as her 2 sisters. We are all worried, but giving that worry to God. Thank you for praying with me!

The clinic came and drew blood from her this morning to test for Malaria. They had brought her some codeine for her head and as I was talking to her, she lost skype connection and I haven't heard back from her. Their satellite reception goes in and out, so I don't know when I will hear back. Please pray for her. She was crying and feels so bad and I am really about to lose it! I just want her home and she still has 4 weeks to go...

UPDATE to add some new prayer requests:

Please pray for David - Andrea's (arise2write) BIL - he was just diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia and needs a touch from Jesus. Please lift him up in prayer daily. Ask for God's will to be done in his life - healing, comfort, peace and assurance of salvation.

Please pray for Marie - she is the mother of "an imperfect perfection". She suffers from RSD and there is severe pain associated with this. Please lift her up daily to the Lord. Pray for relief from pain and for a sweet peace in the Lord.

Jed has finished his round of radiation and goes back to the doctor in November to discuss the next step for the lung cancer and the brain tumor. Please remember him daily! He still needs divine intervention from our precious Lord. Pray for strength, continued healing, peace and comfort.

Stacy is recovering nicely from his stroke. Please continue to lift him up in his recovery process.

There are many people really on my heart tonight. It seems like there are just so many people who are hurting. Sick people. Lonely people. People that need a touch from Jesus. People that need a revelation of His love and His mercy. People that just need Him.

We are here only by the grace of God. He is he one who gives us life. He is the one who sustains us in this life.

"The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life." (Job 33:4)

He is our creator - the author of our life. He is the star-breather. He is the one who spoke the earths existence into being by the very breath of His mouth. He is mighty and He is powerful.

"By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth" (Psalms 33:6)

There is nothing that is too hard for God. He can do anything that He chooses. He can make something out of nothing. He can make nothing out of something. He gives and He takes away. He holds us in the palms of His hands. He loves us.

"Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You." (Jeremiah 32:17)

We don't always understand God's ways, but it is not for us to understand. We only have to stand firm in our faith and know that He is doing what He deems necessary. He is wisdom and knowledge. He has a purpose for all things and His purpose is the one that prevails.

"But indeed for this purpose, I have raised you up that I may show my power in you and that my name may be declared in all the earth" (Exodus 9:16)

Please lift up Doug as well as his daughter Loren. Doug didn't get the news he wanted from his CAT scan, but he did get the news that God ordained. Pray that Doug will begin to seek a relationship with God more and that God will be able to move mightily in that situation to bring Doug to the saving knowledge of our precious Lord. Doug needs a touch spiritually as well as physically.

Please continue to pray for our friend Robert. He had chemo treatment #2 yesterday in his fight against a very aggressive cancer that has paralyzed his tongue and throat and has taken his ability to swallow almost completely away from him. He is a tiny, tiny bit better. He has been very sick from the chemo and unable to keep anything (liquids) down. Please lift him up to our Lord, as well as his wife Mary. They are in Houston for the long haul and are missing their family and church family in a big way!

Please pray for a man named Steve. He has been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu and he is critically ill in ICU right now. Please pray for the Lord's healing touch to be upon him at this time. Pray for his family also.

I pray a mighty blessing on every person listed here and on every person that comes here to join me in prayer. I pray that you will pour out your spirit mightily to each one. I pray that you will minister healing to those in need of a touch. I pray that you will minister forgiveness to those that need to be forgiven or to forgive others. I pray that you will touch those that are hurting, lonely, confused or afraid. I pray that you will reach down to those that are lost and need direction.

Lord I ask that you send your presence to those that are searching. Guide those that are seeking. Enable those that are lacking.

POUR OUT Lord to those that are wanting to DRAW IN. Reveal truth where there is deception. Open eyes that are blinded. Open ears that don't hear. Open hearts that are hardened. Convict where there is denial.

Precious Father, thank you for the power of prayer. Thank you for the wonderful gift you have bestowed upon your children to be able to bow before you and pour out our hearts to you. You are mighty and You are powerful. You are always there to hear our cry. You are always there to minister to our weary souls. You are always there to wrap us up in your loving arms. Thank you Lord for your love and your mercy. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

My husband just called the hospital to check on Carol and you will never believe who answered the phone. CAROL! He and I were just stunned and so overcome with Praise!! She was still very unresponsive 3 days ago and now she is answering the phone and carrying on a conversation. Oh, how MIGHTY is the Lord. He is so good and He is so merciful. Praise you Lord for the miracle you have worked and will continue to work in her life. Just 6 1/2 weeks ago, we didn't know if she would live and now she is a living testimony of His healing power!

Robert is in Houston today and will begin his first chemo treatment on Wednesday. He couldn't talk well at church yesterday. The cancer has paralyzed his tongue and throat, but we are standing firm in our faith and we are believing God for another miracle! We are believing that God is going to heal Robert and we are just thanking Him now for what He is going to do in his life. Thank you Lord for Robert and what you are about to accomplish through Him.

Please remember the family of Wanda Long. She passed away and I know the family could use a lot of lifting up right now. Please pray that they will feel the love and comfort of our precious Lord around them at this time. Pray that He will minister to each one of them in a special way. Thank you Lord that Wanda was a child of Yours and that she is at your feet at this very moment giving you praise and worship!

Please remember Ron - Alleluiabelle's husband. Also remember her grandson. His surgery was successful but I know that he still has some recovery ahead and he is just a precious little baby - 9 months old. Thank you Lord for keeping your hand upon that sweet baby during surgery. Thank you for your protection and your grace.

Please remember to lift up Nikki as she is getting closer to giving birth to little Johanna. I believe she is 36 weeks and if the Lord doesn't intervene, her little girl won't survive after birth. She is a trisomy 18 baby with a grim diagnosis and I can only imagine the emotions that Nikki and Chad are experiencing at this time. Praying for a miracle!

Please say a prayer for my friend Yolanda. She has not been feeling well and had some tests run last week. Most of them have come back good but there are some areas that she needs prayer in and I covet your prayers for her.

Father God, I pray for your hand of protection and healing right now upon Alleluiabelle's sweet grandson. I ask that you touch the fever in his body and cause the temperature to go down. Touch any infection that may be raging in his little body right now and cause it to go away. Give him rest and comfort. Give his mother peace and assurance. Thank you, Lord for taking care of us. Thank you for hearing our prayer.

Precious Father, I fall at Your Feet today in praise and petition. I praise you Father today for loving us, forgiving us, communing with us and for never leaving us. Praise you Father for Your unending mercies. For Your unfathomable graces. For Your abundant blessings. Praise You Father, for Your precious Son. He came, He lived, He died, He rose again, He will return! Thank you Lord for Your Promises.

Thank you Lord for Loren - her surgery went well and she is home and recovering. Her sweet husband is taking good care of her and I thank you for them both.

Thank you Lord for Doug - Loren's dad still needs our prayers for physical and spiritual healing. Oh, sweet Jesus, reach down and minister to Doug. Draw him to You. Tender his heart toward an eternal relationship with His Savior. Thank you for all you are doing and will do in his life.

Thank you Lord for J.D.'s life. I thank you that we are still seeing evidence of seeds planted by your precious disciple. He truly was a man after God's heart.

Prayer is such a Privilege

A few new prayer requests today.

Denise from A Sacred Longing is asking for prayers for her sister-in-law. She fell down 15 stairs and suffered some major injuries. 3 cervical fractures,fractured collarbone, lacerated liver and lung. She is unable to move from the shoulders down. She needs our intercession RIGHT NOW!!!
Oh, Lord, surround this sweet sister with your mercy and your grace. Put your healing hand upon her entire body at this time and minister to the places that need repairing. Restore her body. Renew her spirit. Cause feeling where there is none. Cause bones to knit together. Cause lacerations to heal. Envelope the family with your comfort and your sweet Spirit. Show yourself mighty in their midst. Thank you Lord for covering us with your almighty presence. Thank you for loving us.

I also want to thank Him for being with sweet little Nathan during his heart surgery. He came through great and the doctors were pleased with one of the ventricles that they weren't so sure of before.

Continue to lift up Robert. He underwent tests at MDAnderson until 10 PM last night and is continuing with more today. The doctors will let him know Friday their plan of action but at this time it appears to be radiation on the throat and then chemo. Please remember him in prayer.

Prayer and Praise!

UPDATE on ABBY: They successfully turned the shunt off and her body is draining fluid on it's own. If it keeps up they will be able to remove it! God is so good and so worthy of our Praise! Thank you Lord for working in Abby' life!!

I am posting the following prayer request from Linda of "Being Woven" We need to lift up little Abby and her mother Rachel. I received an update last night and they are going to try to turn of the shunt today and see what happens. Hopefully and prayerfully it will be just temporary and Abby will make a full recovery with the help of our Almighty God and Healer!

Here is Linda's email:

"I am turning to you as I have come to know in my heart that you truly do pray for others, and so many children. I have a great niece, 9 months old, who was in a terrible auto accident. Abby was properly in her seat in the back, facing backwards. She was 5 1/2 months old then. Her mother had an epileptic seizure (Rachel never knew she was epileptic until this accident and she is in her early 30s). The suburban hit a tree dead-on, crushing Rachel's foot and hurt her knee badly... foot has had the needed surgery and knee is due for surgery 9/23. Abby's brain swelled up terribly while in the hospital right after the accident and they had to remove a 3" piece of skull to release the pressure. On 9/10, she returned to have that piece of skull replaced (it's been in the freezer these months!). BUT, she has had spinal fluid on the brain ever since and they had to place a stint to release the build-up of fluid. They will close this temporary stint off Monday and see what happens. If there is continued build-up they plan to place a permanent stint in her spine to the stomach for life.

With all that said, we are praying for God to heal her body that she would not have to have this permanent stint. Also, for complete healing of her brain activity. For Rachel's surgery this week. Plus Rachel had to have gall bladder surgery last Monday. So much. The husband/dad is doing everything right now and trying to work (luckily he works from home and can handle some through all this!)

It is ok to post this if you feel led to. I just want your prayers, Beth. Thank you. Abby is so young! And we love her so."

Let's continue to lift up this precious little baby and her mother.

I also want to correct an error on my part (I'm only human!) We need to continue to pray for Stacy who is "he". I think I said "she". The update on him is that he will survive. He may have some recovery ahead, but he is out of the woods and that is a definite praise!!

Our friend Carol is also still doing well. We went to see her Saturday night and she was able to acknowledge that she knew Jimbo and I were there. She is still paralyzed on her left side, but we are just continuing to believe God for complete healing in that venue! He has done a marvelous work in her so far and we are just believing that it will just keep on improving.

Our friend Robert is at MD Anderson in Houston today. He had an appointment today to go over the test results from the doctors here and for some new tests. Please be in much prayer for him and his wife, Mary. Robert is feeling better. He is able to swallow better than he has been and can talk a little better also. We are believing that the cancer in his throat/neck will be either completely gone or on it's way to being gone. Thank you Lord for your healing hand upon sweet Robert. We love him but we know that You love him even more than that!!

We saw Lois this morning and although she is still hurting over the loss over her precious husband J.D. - the Lord is holding her up and giving her strength! She is in the process of making some major decisions in her life so please just pray for her!

The update on Jed is that there are no new tumors! Praise our awesome God for that!

Prayer update! - God is so Good!

I have a prayer request that I would like for you all to join me in as soon as you read it.

Jane just emailed me and informed me of this. We have Kori on the prayer list. She just lost her sweet husband a month or so ago to a combination of cancer/CF. She is raising 2 sweet boys on her own now. She just received a phone call from the sheriff dept where her dad lives and they found him dead in his home from an apparant heart attack. My heart is just breaking for her. I can't imagine this loss so close to the loss of her husband.

Please lift her up mightily! Please storm heaven for her and pray that His Spirit will comfort and strengthen.

Thank you so much! God will bless you abundantly for your willingness to be a prayer warrior! Love to you all.

I have added Stacy to the prayer list. She is a 60 year old woman who suffered a stroke. We need to lift her up to the Lord and pray for healing and restoration of her body from damages caused by the stroke.

I have added a new name to the prayer list on my sidebar. Her name is Wanda Long and her daughters name is Cyndi. Wanda has cancer but she is a strong and faithful woman in the Lord. We need to lift her up daily before the Throne of Grace for the Lord's Healing hand to rest upon her and for Him to strengthen and renew her daily!

Our Lord is so gracious and merciful. He is mighty to save and He is ever listening to our prayers and ready to bestow His healing upon those in need. We need to BELIEVE that God can do what He says He can do!

I also have a praise for Jed. His MRI showed no new tumors and that is a definite PRAISE! Thank you, Lord for keeping your hand upon sweet Jed.

Thank you, Lord, for your never ending mercy and grace upon us. Help us to be mindful of this every day.

You astound me Lord with your goodness. You surround me Lord with your mercy. You give me hope when there seems to be none. You give me strength when I am weary. You lift me up when I am down. You carry me when I am weak. You fill me when I am empty. You take me from strength to strength and I thank you and I praise you!

God is the Healer! He is Worthy of our Praise!

I come here today with a lighter heart than normal. I have been so burdened these last few weeks by all these precious people on my prayer blog that we have all been so diligently praying for. That coupled with the loss of J.D. has had my heart in a state of perpetual hurt lately. I have just cried out to God in anguish at times as I have felt so helpless in their situations.

Today, the Lord has put praise on my lips! Hallelujah and Praise His Holy Name! We serve a mighty God. We serve a God who can do the impossible. We serve a God who has the power to heal the sick, give the blind their sight, cause the lame to walk and raise the dead from their graves. Our God is a God of miracles.

I think that so many times we don't see miracles because we just don't think that it will happen. We receive little because we believe little. I know that I have been guilty of this myself. I think that He will do it for others, just not for me. How absurd is that? Miracles are for everyone. We just have to believe. Believe God for who He is. Believe God for what He can do.

In Mark 2, four men brought their paralytic friend to see Jesus. They couldn't get in the house so they cut a hole in the roof and let him down into the place where Jesus was. The first thing that happened was that "Jesus saw their faith" and immediately upon seeing the spiritual need of this man, told the paralytic his sins were forgiven. He then took care of the physical need and healed him as well.

I think it is amazing that it didn't hinge on just the faith of the one in need of healing, but Jesus took the faith of ALL of them into consideration when He bestowed forgiveness upon him. We need to remember that. When we all bind together and pray in unity for those listed here or for other specific needs, our faith DOES matter. Our faith is just as important as the faith of the one who is in need. Praise God that if my faith isn't the strongest that those praying for me can fill in the gap!

Our God can do anything! He is the Healer! He is the Redeemer! He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the Great I AM!

I am full of praise tonight for sweet Andrew! He came through a miraculous surgery and is doing well. He has been able to get out of bed and walk with help. Andrew is a miracle! Thank you Jesus for Andrew!

I am full of praise for a man in my church, Robert. His PET scan came back better than expected. He does have cancer, but it hasn't spread as they suspected and only 2 nodes were affected right by the tumor and they are now talking radiation before surgery where before that wasn't a possiblity. He can even talk better - part of his tongue is paralyzed from the tumor in his throat/neck. He can even swallow better and his color is so much better. Thank you Lord, for the miraculous work in Robert! Thank you Jesus for Robert!

I am full of wonderous praise for Carol. She suffered a stroke over 3 weeks ago and has not been given a good prognosis. She has been unresponsive since that time and has undergone brain surgery, surgery for a feeding tube, surgery for a trach and has been sedated for 23 days or so. She is off sedation. She actually responsed today to verbal commands and they were able to sit her up on the side of the bed today! Thank you Lord for Carol and the miracle you are performing in her life! Praise you Lord for Carol!

I am thankful for Doug (Loren's dad). I praise God that He has continued to show Doug sweet mercy. I praise God that Doug continues to do well and I am believing God for a spiritual healing in Him! I am believing God that He will draw Doug with the Holy Spirit and prick his heart. I am believing God that Doug will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus in his life. Thank you Lord for Doug! (and for precious Loren - she is an absolute angel)

If there are others that I am not aware of, I just lift them up to the Throne of Grace now. I pray that the precious healing power of Jesus will wash over them and cover them from head to toe. I pray that the awesome presence of God will cover them like a warm blanket. I pray that they will experience sweet peace and comfort. I pray that they will be wrapped up in His love and that they will feel nothing but relaxation and restoration.

God is so good. He is mighty and He is God!

Thank you Lord for hearing our cry. Thank you Lord for responding to our needs. Thank you Lord for being our all in all.

UPDATE - Urgent prayers for Andrew needed!

UPDATE: Saturday 9:30 AM - As of this morning, the latest update is that Andrew came through surgery great and is doing well. The doctor removed most of the tumor and his mom says he is talking and even joking around. I am just overwhelmed at the goodness of God. God does things that only God can do and it just floods my heart with such joy!

We look at the circumstances sometimes and see impossibility. We need to look at God and see ALL the possibilities!! He is the miracle maker - the healer - the Lord of Lord and the King of Kings. He is GOD!!

I am full of praise for the work He is doing in precious Andrews life right now. Let's continue to lift him up to the Throne of Grace and give Him all glory and honor that is due Him.

Please continue to pray for J.D.'s family - the funeral is tomorrow at 2 PM. Lois is very tired and I think it is all crashing in on her. She has been so strong for so long and it is now wearing her down.

Please pray for a man named Jed. He had cancer years ago and it has returned and spread. Please lift him up mightily to the Throne of Grace.

Please continue to lift up Ron, Carol, Robert, Doug, Phyllis, Andrew, Tiffany and Marie.

I know there are many others and I just can't think right now. Please pray for Jimbo as he prepares to do the funeral of J.D. This is the 3rd very, very close friend that he has buried and it is very hard on him. We will head to Biloxi on Wednesday where the burial will be in the National Cemetery. Please remember us in prayer. Also, our daughter Melissa, leaves on Friday headed to Cameroon, Africa, where she will be until the end of November. All of this coming at once is a little overwhelming to me right now.

Around 3:50 this afternoon, my sweet friend J.D. went straight into the arms of Jesus. He didn't suffer at the end. Jimbo said he took 2 quick breaths and then was ushered peacefully into Glory.

I don't have any words right now. Just continue to pray for Doug - he needs Jesus and we need to storm the gates of heaven on his behalf! Praying and fasting if necessary for this sweet man to come to an understanding of eternal life with Jesus!

I love you all so much and thank you so much for praying with me.

Me and my buddy J.D. - last night.

"I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications.

Life isn't playing out for J.D. like I want it to. His healing doesn't appear to be taking place here on earth. God seems to be preparing J.D.'s heavenly home and as the time draws nearer, my heart is just broken.

We went down to the house to visit last night and he wasn't having a good day. He is tired. He is laboring to breathe. He is starting to swell. He is having lots of pain. He depends on the oxygen to make it a little easier. He had to take 3 nitro pills while we were there.

He did sip a little ICEE that we brought him. He ate a few bites of dinner. He talked with us a little. He told me not to cry. I had not even gotten in the door when the floodgates opened and I couldn't stop the tears.

Jimbo and I had a good visit with our precious friend. I wanted to spend some time with him before it got to the point where he wouldn't be able to talk to us.

Ashlie (my youngest) had taken her 2 little boys down there earlier yesterday and Bryton sat on the bed and fed J.D. jellybeans. J.D. told me that visit meant so much to him. He has always had a special place in his heart for Bryton and vice versa.

God is going to get the glory in J.D.'s life no matter what the outcome. J.D. has lived his life for His Jesus. He has spread the gospel even in these last days of his life. He is a bright light for the King even amidst the uncertainty in his life. Even in his infirmity, he praises Him. Even in his pain, he praises Him. Even unto death, he will praise Him.

Please continue to lift him up to the Throne. Please continue to blanket J.D. and Lois in your prayers of peace, comfort, rest, love and assurance.

Also, please continue to lift Doug up in prayer. He needs prayers for healing and salvation. Physical healing is wonderful, but spiritual healing is the most important. Remember to pray for Doug's family, too. Loren is a precious woman and sister in Christ and my heart is burdened for her. Watching her daddy go through this trial is hard, but if she knows that his final destination will be eternity with our Lord and Savior, she will rest better in His Security of Salvation.

Continue to remember Kori and her boys. Precious little Andrew and his mother. Ron and his wife Alleluiabelle. My friend Yolanda's mother-in-law, Marie. Our friend, Carol. Robert.

UPDATE: 3 PM - Jimbo just got back from J.D.'s and is headed back. His lungs are filling up with fluid and he is really struggling to breathe. The hospice nurse is on the way. It doesn't look like he has long left. Please pray for my sweet husband. J.D. is his closest friend. About 10 years ago, he lost 2 of his best friends in about 18 months time and did both of their funerals. He is really struggling with this right now. My heart is broken. My mind is empty. My spirit is grieving. I need your prayers, please.

At His Feet in humble desperation

I am sadded by the loss of Richard - husband to Kori and father to 2 boys. He was ill with colon cancer and also end-stage CF. Please lift up Kori to the Throne of Grace - she is a young mother now on her own raising 2 young boys. She needs comfort, peace, strength and wisdom.

Another one of our church members/deacon found out last week that he has cancer of the throat/neck and has not been given a good prognosis. He has an appointment tomorrow to hopefully set up an appointment in Little Rock which is about 3 hours from here. Please lift up Robert Adams and his wife, Mary, as well as their family members.

Please lift up young Andrew - he has been diagnosed with a brain mass and needs our prayers in a mighty way. Pray for his sweet mother and father also.

Please lift up Doug (Loren's precious father) and continue to ask the Lord to keep His mighty healing and restoring hand upon him.

Please remember J.D. He is now on hospice care of which my husband is the chaplain. He is also J.D.'s pastor and best friend as you know, so this is doubley hard on him. J.D. is still planting those seeds to harvest though. He witnessed to the man who delivered his hospital bed last Friday and the man wanted NO part of God. Well, he had brought the wrong size rails and had to bring them back yesterday. Well, guess what? OH, YEAH! When he came back yesterday, the Lord had been dealing with him all weekend and by the time he left J.D.'s house, he had accepted Christ as his savior and was a different man! J.D. was so excited and just cried tears of joy. The man is amazing - still winning souls, when he is in such bad health. Please continue to pray for him and for his wife, Lois. They need prayer mightily.

Please pray for Phyllis - another church member who is undergoing chemo for breast cancer. She is on her 2nd round and it is really taking it's toll on her physically. Please lift her up to our Great, no, our Greatest Physician.

Continue to remember Carol in your prayers. She is still in ICU and on the vent and sedation. She has just overcome a staff infection AND pneumonia - prayer works, folks! They are once again trying to wean her off the sedation and the vent. She needs prayer warriors desperately lifting her up.

Please pray for each name on the sidebar. Each one needs a touch from the Master in one way or another. God knows the needs. God knows the request. All we have to do is utter their name to Him. He will do the rest.

I spent the day in Shreveport, sitting in the ICU waiting room waiting to visit Carol, a church member/friend, who suffered a stroke last Friday in Monroe. They took her to Shreveport for surgery and as of today was still on the vent and still under sedation. They lifted the sedation this afternoon and turned off the vent. Even though she is breathing on her own, she is basically unresponsive. She has in fact digressed and her son is very concerned. Carol is about 65 and was in super shape before this happened. Please lift her up - she needs a miracle.

Our church is under attack - this makes the 6th deacon family that is under demonic attack within the last month or so. Please join me in lifting up our church - we are armed and ready to fight the enemy! We will NOT let satan win any victory here. We will WIN and we will not give up. We are uniting together in the Lord and are waging war against the evil forces.

GOD is so good. GOD is powerful and mighty! GOD is in control. We will give HIM all the glory and honor and praise due Him.

Precious Lord, I lift up every name that is on my prayer list today. I just ask that you send your sweet Spirit of Comfort to each and every person. Oh, Lord, cover them with your mighty love and peace. Minister to their heart, soul and body. Relieve pain where there is hurting. Remove fear where there is uncertainty. Increase strength where there is weakness.

Father God, where your will allows, let there be healing in abundance. Let there be miracles where that's all that is left to take place. Fill unbelief with belief. Fill unrest with sleep. Fill sadness with joy.

Lord, be with J.D. as he has been sent home with no treatment. With no hope according to man. With only the faith He has placed in You as His Lord and Savior. Guide my precious husband as he takes on several roles as Pastor, best friend and hospice clergy. Give him wisdom. Give him the ability to minister and keep His focus on you.

Father, be with Doug as he is undergoing a procedure for the blood clots in his body. We praise you Lord, that Doug has seen a miracle in his life according to the fact that these clots should have taken his life and did NOT! We give you all praise and glory for this!

Father I ask that you comfort the family of young Yermine (Jeremy) as he succombed to his injuries sustained in a car wreck in Bolivia. I know that Melissa planted the gospel seed in his heart while on her mission trip and Lord all we can do is hope that he was drawn to you and accepted you as His Savior.

Lord, I lift up Ron, Tammy, Lauren, Misty, Tessa, Amy, Jerry, Jerrod, Nathan, Rick, Maria, and William. Touch them in the way that only You can. Minister, guide, enlighten, heal.

Thank you for all that you do for us. Thank you for your hand upon my life. Thank you for being my Savior, my Friend, my Master, my Lord, my Redeemer, my Creator. Thank you for the gift of eternal life.

I praise you Lord, for your unending mercy. Your goodness is everlasting and you shower us with your love unconditionally. I thank you for your hand of provision in our lives. I thank you for hand of healing on those that need a touch from the Greatest Physician of all. I thank you for life and for breath. You alone are worthy of our worship and our praise.

I lift up every name on this prayer page to you today, Lord. I ask that you cover them with your wing. I ask that you anoint them with your sweet spirit. Praise Report and Prayer Requests

It is praise report time! We had been praying for TJ Ellis' mother, Madeline. She got her pathology report back and there is NO sign of cancer. Can I get an 'Amen'???? Praise His Name for His healing hand upon her body. Please continue to lift her up as she is home and recovering.

Please continue to pray for J.D. Jimbo and I stopped by this evening and he was very talkative but a little "off". He is headed back to Shreveport tomorrow for an appointment with his lung doctor and is scheduled for another MRI next week. He says he wants some answers as far as why the doctors haven't set up any treatment for his lung yet as they promised.

Remember sweet Loren's dad, Doug. Continue to ask our Lord to keep His healing hand upon him and to give him strength physically and spiritually.

Remember the lost - there are several names on the sidebar to lift up and I know many of you have loved ones that need salvation. Pray for God to draw them and pray for them to be seeking Him.

Clayton French is a 5 1/2 year old boy who is undergoing treatment for brain stem cancer. Please not only lift this precious little boy up to the Throne of Grace, but remember his family as well. I can't imagine having to see your little child going through something as devastating as this and feeling so helpless. Precious Father, send your comforting and healing spirit to this sweet little boy. Oh Lord, reach down and put your hand upon his body and release in him power from your mighty Hand - release healing upon him according to Your will. Thank you Lord for Clayton.

Paul and Amy are in the beginning stages of paperwork to adopt a child from Ethiopia. Please lift them up as they seek God's will in this decision and as they patiently for a child that God will handpick just for them!

Randy is a 38 year old lawyer, that was recently diagnosed with AVM - a malformation of the bloodvessels in the brain. He suffered a bleed from this about 5 months ago and is currently in rehab. Please pray for him and his sweet wife Shalana as he is in rehabilitation and as she is caring for him. She recently suffered a miscarriage at 14 wks as well. They need a mighty touch from the Master. Sweet Jesus, please minister to this precious couple in a special way. Reach down and touch them in such a powerful way that they will know it could only be from you.

My daughter, Melissa, received a message today on facebook from one of the girls she met while on her trip to Bolivia, South America. A young man that Melissa met while she was there has been a serious car accident and is in a coma. His name is Yermin (they pronounce it Jeremy). He is about 20 years old and is NOT a Christian. He told Melissa that he wasn't interested in Jesus, but yet he continued to come to bible study and ask her many questions. She knows that some seeds were planted in his heart, but doesn't know if he ever made a profession of faith after they left. Please lift up this young man and pray that if it is God's will, he will come out of the coma and be able to accept Christ as his Lord and Savior.

It is a priviledge to have the opportunity to come before a Holy God and lay these requests at His Feet. He hears our cry. He responds to our needs. He loves us with an everlasting love. He is God.

Lifting up those in need to the Throne of Grace

I became aware today of a precious young woman named Kori M. She is a 29 year old mother of 2 and a wife to Richard. Richard not only has Cystic Fibrosis but he is currently losing a battle with recurrent Stage 4 colon cancer. There are no more treatments to be given. His cancer is progressing fast and the doctors say there is nothing else they can do. He was put in the hospital today for a fairly bad lung infection I imagine from the CF. Her blog is private, otherwise I would link it for you. It is a powerful story that will just break your heart.

Please lift up this sweet couple. They need a touch from The Master in a mighty way. Please ask Him to surround them with comfort, peace, hope, and love. I am burdened by this today. I sometimes think that I have problems. Let me tell you friends, I have NO problems when I compare it to what these precious people are facing.

Please lift up Kori and Richard every time you think about it!

Please Pray!

I just got a call from my husband who has been in Shreveport for a few days with our friend J.D. and his wife Lois. The results of the PET scan came in and it isn't good. The only place they can find the cancer is in the brain. There is a mass at the base of his brain - inoperable. There are several lesions in the brain also. No treatment - nothing they can do. They are now waiting for the doctor to come in. The only thing I can think of at this time is a song that we are playing at the crusade.

"When I am down and , oh my soul, so weary,
when troubles come and my heart burdened be;
then I am still and wait here in the silence,
until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on Your shoulders.
You raise me up to more than I can be."

Please lift JD up to the Throne of Grace. Please lift up EACH name on the sidebar as well as each person on the prayer buttons. I am at the point right now, where my soul can't even conjure up any words. Only groanings to the Spirit. I hurt. I ache. But I know the One who can raise me up. Please lift up Preston Snead in your prayers. This little fella has recentely been diagnosed with HLH which has caused his liver to fail and just had a Bone Marrow Transplant. He has an infection and needs our prayers to be able to fight against this terrible disease.

Please say a special prayer for Stellan as he is in the hospital once again and not doing well with his current bout of SVT. Pray that the doctors will be able to cause his heart to revert back to normal sinus rhythm quickly and without further complication.

Please note the new prayer button on the sidebar for Doug. He is the father of Loren - lung cancer that has spread to the brain. Please lift him up to the Lord and petition on his behalf for healing. Comfort for the family. Peace for all of them. She is also asking for us to pray for salvation for her father. That is the MOST IMPORTANT!

Continue to remember J.D. - I talked with him last night and he was in very good spirits. They are doing upper and lower GI today since the MRI revealed nothing in the stomach. They are talking a possible brain biopsy also.

Continue to lift up little Carly. Her mom got her an appointment in south Louisiana for August 4th. She just didn't want to wait until October. Pray that the heart murmur will correct itself or be revealed to be "innocent" (like I have).

Please blanket all those on the sidebar in your prayers. Remember all children that are going through treatment for cancer.

Precious Father, I lift up these to you today. I just ask that you minister to each one in such a special way. Where there is illness, I pray for healing according to your will. Request for Prayer Warriors!

Please continue to lift up J.D. & Lois as he is now in Shreveport awaiting an MRI. He is dealing with nausea and dizziness and is short of breath. He needs every prayer warrior petitioning on his behalf in a mighty way!!

As you pray for those names listed on the sidebar, I ask that you say a special prayer for my friends little girl, Carly. She is the 2 year old that we prayed for a few weeks back. She is doing better with the UTI since her procedure, but the doctor has now detected a heart murmur and she has an appt. with a pediatric cardiologist in October. She couldn't get in before then and her mom, Sarah, is just a little uneasy now. Please pray for the Lord to reach down and touch her precious little heart and apply His healing hand and power to it.

Prayer Request for J.D.

"Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD;O Lord hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy." (Psalm 130:1-2)

Tonight my heart is so burdened for our good friend J.D. and his precious wife, Lois. Just a few days ago, J.D. received a devastating diagnosis. A devastating diagnosis from man. One that is already beginning to rear it's ugly head. One that is already beginning to take it's toll on his body. One that is already causing J.D. pain and instability. Brain cancer spread from somewhere else only they don't know where it came from.

"I will lift up my eyes to the hill - from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:1-2)

As he waits for further testing to be set up, that's all he can do... wait... He waits for the unknown. He waits with trepidation. He waits with anxiety. He waits for man.

We do not have to wait for God. God already knows the diagnosis. God already know the treatment plan. God already know the outcome. God already has J.D. in His hands. God's will is already in the works.

All we have to do is let God be God. We have to remain faithful. We have to remain prayerful. We have to stand strong. We have to stay committed.

Precious Father, wrap J.D. and Lois in your arms tonight. Give them peace that can only come from you. Give them comfort like they've never had before. Give them rest. Envelope them with such an overpowering sense of your presence that they surely know that you have been in their midst. Touch J.D.'s body. Send your healing power down upon him. If it be your will, remove the cancer from his body and cause him to be healed.

Lord I thank you for J.D. and his committment to the spread of your gospel. I thank you for his dedication the furtherment of Your kingdom. I praise you for what you are doing and will do in his life. You are God. You are God the healer. You are God of life. You are the God of the impossible.

For those that need salvation, I pray you send your Holy Spirit to draw them and convict them and show them the way. For those who need deliverance, I pray that you will work mighty in their lives that they will turn to the only one who can set them free from the bondages that hold them captive. Prayer Request - Freedom from Bondage

One of my sweet sisters in Christ, Lisa Shaw, has requested prayer for William B. - he is in bondage something fierce with false religion and a history of childhood abuse. Please lift up this young man and his family. Let's storm heaven with petitions for his freedom from all that binds him and holds him captive. Let's pray for the Holy Spirit to minister and convict and draw him into seeking Christ for his Savior and Lord.

Let's Lift these up to Him

I just have a few requests to post today, but as always scan back down and continue to pray for those listed.

Warren asked prayer for a young man TB who is searching with virtually no background to search from. Please let's all lift this young man up to the Throne of grace, that God's Holy Spirit will draw him and that as he seeks, he will be able to find the answer in the Lord.

You know, for those of us who have been Christians for a long time - I was 9 years old when I accepted Christ - it's hard for us to imagine that there are people that just don't have a clue about a relationship with Christ. It seems almost foreign to me, but I know that it is so true and in a larger realm that we think. We need to have a burden for others. We need to have heavy hearts for the lost. Their only hope is Jesus and we need to point them in the right direction!

Also keep praying for my friends little girl Carly. They put her in the hospital yesterday as one of her cultures came back positive for pseudomonas. She is on IV anitibiotics and will hopefully only be there until tomorrow. But for a 2 year old little baby girl, that can be traumatic. For her and her parents! They have 4 other children and the littlest one is only 3 months old.

Thank you for your support in praying for these listed. If we don't do anything else but pray, we have done what is necessary - the rest is up to the Lord.

Praying for Others

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him" I John 5:14,15

It would be an endless task to post every prayer request that I see a need for. There are so many sick, hurting, lonely, lost, confused and angry people in this world. I lift up a blanket prayer for those that I don't know about and those that I don't list here. I am going to try and just list a few at a time so we don't get overwhelmed and NOT pray.

Please pray for Aidan (1) and his family. He is still recovering from a 3 story fall that has left him with a lot of catching up to do cognitively.

Please pray for Lindsay (1) as she continues to recover from a heart transplant. Her button is on the sidebar.

Please pray for Mark and Kate - they have twin boys who were born in March at 24 weeks and are still in the hospital having some struggles.

Please continue to pray for Bentley. Even though her heart surgery is over, she still has some recovering to do. Her button is on the sidebar.

Please pray for Carrie - she is a 25 year old that has been hospitalized pretty much for the past 2 years with multiple intestinal problems. She hasn't eaten any food by mouth in that length of time. She has several feeding tubes that give her lots of trouble. She is in almost constant pain. She has lost so much weight and doesn't feel well most of the time. She is a precious young woman who loves God with all her heart.

Please remember my friend Phyllis who is still undergoing chemo for breast cancer. She is a precious Woman of God and still fully trusts and relies on God. Her motto is "Believe".

Please pray for my friends little girl, Carly. She is 2 and has had trouble with UTI's and recently had to have a procedure done to help her kidney not reflux. She has lost a few pounds (and is tiny anyway) and needs to gain some weight and get her strength back.

Praying at the Feet of Jesus

Please continue to pray for little Lindsay. She is doing great finally after a rollercoaster of a week. Her heart transplant went well and she is finally on the road to recovery. You can go their blog by clicking on her button on my sidebar.

Please remember to lift up Ron, husband of sweet Alleluiabelle. I know how frightening it is to have a husband having heart problems. I have been there an it can be overwhelming at least. Just lift them both up the throne of Grace and bathe them in prayer continually.

Say a prayer for my sweet daughter Melissa. She in in her last week in South America. She is having the best time. They have taught, they have learned, they have evangelized, they have worked on building a church and they have seen God move. She really hates to leave there but knows that she has to come home! Just remember her and her group of about 13 others and pray them safely home!

Join me in prayer for all the lost in this world. There are so many and time is so short. Please, let's make time to witness to those that need His saving Grace. I am so burdened for all those that are lost and dying.
