special prayer for some special people

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7)

Sometimes, fear gets the best of us. Sometimes amidst the circumstances of our lives, we get caught up in what's happening and forget to get caught up in 'who's in charge'. We are all guilty of this. We all let things overwhelm us. We all at sometime or another, have let fear dictate and in turn let fear rule our minds.

I love how Paul assures us here in the holy scriptures, that God did NOT give us a spirit of fear. That God gave us a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. God has given us the ability, through His precious Son, to tap into nothing less than peace.

That doesn't mean that we won't have trials and tribulations. It doesn't mean that we won't go through hard times. It doesn't mean that we will experience perfect health, perfect finances and perfect families all the time. But it does mean that we have a loving heavenly Father, who will take that burden out of our hands and carry it for us. He will lavish us with His perfect peace. His perfect love.

For all those listed and those who are going through tough times, the following prayer is for you:

Our most gracious and heavenly Father. There are so many people going through situations and trials that cause them to have an intense spirit of fear.Your Word tells us that fear is NOT from you and I ask you precious Lord, to reach down and touch each person in need, with your amazing and powerful loving Hands. Remove that fearful spirit in the name of Jesus. Oh, Lord just send your Spirit to them in such a profound and mighty way, that they feel you ministering to them even now. Reach down and lavish them with your unconditional and unending love. Touch them from the top of their heads, to the bottom of their feet. Release in them the power to conquer the enemy. Help them to stand on the Truth of Your Word and to cling to your promises. Cover them, anoint them, and drench them in your goodness today.

Let them feel such joy in their hearts that they know it only comes from you. Help them to stand strong. Strengthen them, enable them and fill them with your presence.

Lord, I thank you and I give you all the glory and honor that is so due you. You are mighty and powerful and delivering and I praise you with all that I am.
